Nice place but didn't relieve the highway was right above/behind the cabin (in the photo). Not too much road noise but occasionaly you could hear it. Nice big place, great hot tub!

The cabin was perfect for our family trip to bridge day. We had a great time and it was close to everything. It is hard to find at first so be prepared.

great place. secluded and private. beautiful area the views were amazing. hot tub was nice on cool evenings

Although the listed location was "Fayetteville", it's actually north of New River Gorge, along U.S. Rt. 60 east of Hico.
That added 15 minutes travel time, one way, to our scheduled activities.

This 3-bedroom cottage was lovely! We were back off the road, with a view of the woods. The cottage was very well equipped, and immaculate. Plenty of towels and pillows, clean and user-ready hot tub. I would absolutely stay here again.

This was a great place to stay! Everything was clean and ready for us when we got there! Got to have some quality time with my significant other and enjoy being super close to the town. With lots of hiking options near by!

Cabin was great. Would have been perfect with a hottub.
Driveway is hard to find the first time.

As others have said, we did have difficulty finding the place. I read that they aren’t allowed to put up a sign but maybe have some other type of landmark or something placed near the driveway?
The cabin was nice and clean. The hot tub and fire pit were nice. Internet was spotty but we made do. My only real complaint is that the 2 back bedrooms smelled strongly of mold/musty. I didn’t look in the crawl space under the cabin but I assume that’s where the smell is coming from as nothing inside was wet or had visible mold.

Cabin was very nice, and I loved the location. It was a little bit hard to find, but we soon figured it out. The stay was much needed and enjoyable.

The cabin was nice and it was pretty clean! The hot tub was great to have and we used it every night. It was difficult to find even with the directions given, I wish there were more markings to help guide us - if it were night, we would have had even more trouble finding it. The location was good for everything we wanted to do in the New River Gorge area. Overall we were satisfied with our stay!

Really clean and comfortable cabin. Nice kitchen and sleeping quarters. Beds were comfortable. Noisy interstate above us (Rt 60).
Suggestions: A recliner, screen door to enjoy the cool air.
Overall very nice.

This cabin is beautiful and HUGE!. The rooms were large and comfortable. The place was clean, neat, and well maintained. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. Two issues that future renters need to know for full disclosure. The internet is a really weak signal.
Paul left details on internet access and youtube TV. He explained that the only service available is hughesnet satellite. I happen to live in a rural mountainous area in PA so I know how cell signals and wifi come and go in valleys. However, I brought a verizon streaming device with me and hooked it up. This allowed us to be on the internet AND stream TV shows. So if you have verizon cell service, you can turn that signal into a wifi hotspot there. The hot tub was a bit of a disappointment. First, the tub in the pictures was replaced with a smaller one. We have a hottub at home, so I am familiar with their operation. When we arrived, it had just been cleaned and refilled. At check in, the tub was only 75 degrees so we couldnt use it the first night. The next morning, I checked it and it was up to 107degrees!!! That's hot enough to kill someone. So before we left,I lowered the setpoint to 99 and opened the lid. When we got back, it had cooled to 102. That's still warmer than we like, but manageable. The tub seemed to run and heat constantly and I couldn't figure out how to get the pump to shut off. To summarize, we enjoyed our stay and LOVED the cabin. Just a couple of issues to be aware of.

We enjoyed our stay. The house had everything we needed. We did 2 hikes which were easy to get to.

Close to NRGNP. Cabin was suited great for our family. Enjoyed the hot tub after hiking. Owner very receptive to suggestions. We enjoyed our time in West Virginia.

We had a little trouble getting to the property due to snow, but once we got there we had a great time, the cabin was very clean and well stocked.

We arrived at the check in time (after driving 6 hours to get there) and were informed the house was unusable due to a frozen pipe and they could not accommodate our party. The host was extremely rude and even yelled at me during the phone call insinuating we were the issue as we had 2 dogs with us even though our reservation clearly stated this and we paid the appropriate fees. We loaded up in the car and drive 6 hours home that same night. Highly DO NOT recommend.

I loved the cabin, it was clean and tidy and had everything we needed to get settled in. We had our nice own area surrounded by trees, and Fayetteville and all the sites were super easy to get to. Getting to the cabin and into the cabin was super easy as well.

This cabin is nice the kitchen is well stocked. Rt 60 is right above you so if you don't want to hear the road noise this one is not for you. The driveway has washout places so a SUV is the best no way would I take my car down it. The laundry room is across the street back in by other cabins not convenient. Location is Ok for hikes around the area. There is a fire pit and a cover area with a picnic table to set outside.

The rental was exactly as expected and had everything we needed for a weekend. The drive way is a little rough, but easy enough to traverse even in a car.

So if you have ever lived in the country/mountains the road to the cabin is just like any other. One of my son's had a low car and he parked up above and walked down. But if you know how to maneuver a normal car you can get down just fine. Take it a bit slower. Owner did state he is smoothing it out soon. The cabin was perfect. It was close to a little bit of everything. Also make sure you GPS to the directions he sends you and not the address listed on VRBO.

Once we found the cabin, we enjoyed our surroundings. However, the road into the cabin was very rudded and our vehicle drug in several spots. In addition, the satellite television and WiFi was non existence during our stay. The hot tub was wonderful.

The cabin accommodated two sets of families. The cabin was super clean and had everything we needed.
The location was secluded enough that we felt like we were in our own little world.

Missing some essentials
Overall, we enjoyed our stay here. A couple of things to note about the property: there weren’t many essentials in the cabin. No ziplocks, lighter, extra trash bags, or paper towels, only 2 dish rags, no Saran Wrap or foil, no condiments in the fridge. I know that’s not everything, but it was kind of hard to cook without some of these. Also, the coffee pot was broken. There is a keurig, but no pods. There was also a hornets nest outside the porch, which made a couple of my friends very nervous. We did enjoy playing games in the main hang out area. The driveway wasn’t as bad as everyone says. Got down there fine with a minivan and Jetta. There WiFi was pretty spotty. We used the grill and the hot tub. We also enjoyed the convenient location to the rafting activities and the national park! Thanks.

This property was perfect for our family of 5. I found that it was in an ideal location from what all we had planned on doing during our stay. As stated in other reviews about the directions and driveway; The directions provided by the owner made the cabin easy to find. The driveway is exactly what I expected given the location of the cabin, I drive a 2021 trailblazer and had no problems getting down it. I plan to book this cabin again the next time we are in area if it’s available.

Great location, nice cabin. A bit hard to find with the directions. It took us about an extra 20 minutes driving around in circles to get to it. Note that we did see two roaches during our two-night stay. We’ve stayed in quite a few cabins and have never seen roaches.
Note also that the owner does not seem to use VRBO for any communication, which is strange seeing as though the bookings are made through this site. We had an emergency health issue arise two days before check-in and never received a response to our message on VRBO, so we kept our booking and made the best of it. He provides a phone number to communicate just a few days before check-in.

Beautiful and clean cabin. Very relaxing and great time. Perfect location for all the sights we went to see. Would definitely come back.

We loved our stay, the property was private yet close to all the New River Gorge has to offer. The cabin was spotless, beds were comfortable and the hottub was a perfect end to a day of hiking . There were some previous comments about the driveway, but it is a country driveway, and we had no trouble getting down it. It was so nice to have our 2 dogs along as well, the park is very dog friendly and many of the breweries allow dogs on their patios too. We loved our stay, and would definitely return !

So we booked this place months ago. We were really excited about it. The week before, I ask the wife, what's the address. The address that is sent in the email is not actually the address. It isn't actually in Fayetteville. So plan accordingly, the directions he gives you are also confusing. I would recommend a sign or something there. The 2nd strike was the driveway. My buddy's mini-van bottomed out. So be careful. The 3rd strike would definitely be the broken deck boards and broken hot tub laying on the deck. I mean, if you are paying good money for a vacation, you would expect you wouldn't be staring at a broken hot tub on its side or almost falling through the deck. You can tell the place just needs some upkeep.

We had 5 adults and 2 kids and two 40-lb dogs stay at this cabin and everyone was very pleased with our accommodations. The space was just right for 6 or 7. Very adequate kitchen, comfortable living room, and good-sized bedrooms. It was very clean and surprisingly no bugs for a cabin in the woods (a few ants came in to seek shelter from the rain but that’s it). The grill, hot tub and board games were a huge bonus. Lots of grass for dogs to do business.
The property was completely private, though you do have to drive down a dicey driveway to get there. The location isn’t exactly where advertised in the listing (about 9 minutes north of that) but it was still very easy to get to the local attractions. You probably won’t need to drive more than 15 minutes to activities or restaurants. We hit the Kroger (about 20 min) and grilled and ate in some too.
There were only two negatives that weren’t enough to lower my rating from 5 stars.
1) Finding the cabin to start was difficult. The host sent directions but even with that we were lucky to catch the cleaning lady who showed us where to go.
2) The communication with the host was inadequate for me. I had a few messages go unanswered and ultimately had to get VRBO to contact him 3 days before check in to get the check in info. To be fair, I get anxious about that stuff and he probably would’ve sent it before arrival but I wasn’t willing to take the chance.
Again, neither of these things were enough to take down my rating. Overall it was a great property at a very fair price and I would stay there again when visiting the area.

Directions to the property were clear to get to the property during daylight hours. The road to the property a little tenuous, even with a SUV. The heat was on upon arrival and the jacuzzi was ready(very nice). Appliances worked well. Very clean. 2 dining room chairs need legs repaired. WI Fi worked well. Great experience!!

There are 6 cabins. Ours was by itself across the road, which was nice. Although it's wooded, be aware that a well-traveled two-lane road (Rt 60) is about 20 yards away. Cars with low carriages may have some trouble using the unpaved driveways. Decor, hot tub, kitchen all were great and the New River Gorge is scenic.
