This is a wonderful Twain Harte cabin. It was comfortable for all six of us. The fact that it is pet friendly, with a secured decks made lounging with the dog very easy and secure. This cabin has all of the conveniences you could ask for. We have rented five different cabins in Twain Harte over the years, and this one is by far the best. There was room for four cars, which was necessary because we had family arriving from, and departing to different places. We had one question regarding the Wi-Fi password, which was answered within 10 minutes. All in all this was a great rental!

Cabin was well equipped, in walking distance to town and has lake membership that you pay for entrance.

We had a great family vacation at this cute, cozy cabin. We had an issue with the water lines but the property Manager was quick to fix the problem. Walking distance to town activities and a few minutes of driving to enjoy the private lake. We would love to stay again and recommend it to anyone looking for a mountain get away that's close to town with an outdoor experience.

We needed a place to escape the loud fireworks of the 4th and this was such a peaceful little cabin, plenty of beds for the kids and my sister in law was able to come as well. Wish we had been able to book for longer, great location as you can walk to just about everything!

The owners of this property really did a great job of making this a fun location to stay. Board games, Netflix/Hulu/Cable all ready to go. The property was clean. The kitchen was fully stocked. The washer/dryer was a plus. The two separate decks were really a nice bonus for the dog. We thought the house was lovely. Thanks!

There's an extensive history of family love, games and legendary moments set against a backdrop of great upgrades throughout along with a color palette and furnishings that soothes the wandering soul. And, you'll find that they've tastefully intermixed all the required modern conveniences and supplies a visitor would need while keeping the unique craftsmanship of a 50's era wood cabin in tact. Some day I wish to have the resources to own and create a family vacation space with this kind of feel and warmth. One small note. Beds need to be upgraded to make the night's sleep as comfortable as the rest of the home.

We had a super stay at the cabin. It was clean, cozy, well stocked and in a good location. Because we stayed in winter, we used the heating a lot, which got the cabin toasty right away. The only other thing to mention is that you have to be very careful on the stairs/ladder to the loft.

The cabin was smaller than I expected to accommodate 6 adults and 4young kids but we were happy to be there having a great time together for 2 nights. We were told that we can check-in early so we arrived at around 1pm (the weather was really bad that day and we were happy that we can get there early) but about 1.5hrs after we got in the cabin, there were 2 maintenance men came in to change the dishwasher! Why the management picked the day they are to have guests coming in when they could have picked the day before to have the dishwasher changed since the cabin would have been empty of guests, I don't know,incompetent, I guess. These 2men didn't leave until around 5pm!! Because there weren't any instructions on how to connect to the wifi at the cabin, I called the host and he was just a nasty human being, not only he didn't know where the instructions were at the cabin he picked the wrong wifi network and when I can't connect to the wifi, the host made me and my son felt we were the inadequate one but in fact he doesn't know what he is talking about. He could have just told me the instructions are on the side of the refrigerator! We found the instructions all by ourselves! There is a loft inside the cabin and it was freezing cold up there for there wasn't any heater up there. I'm sure when it's summer time it'll be very hot up there too!Would I rent from this host again? NO!

When we arrived, we had no electricity. The cabin was dark and cold. We specifically asked management to keep us apprised of the situation but they failed to do so. We were on the verge of leaving three hours later when the power finally came on. We would’ve appreciated better communication with the management company and the owner. After that our stay was very nice, but the cabin should’ve been cleaner.

We stayed there for a week this past summer and it was a good time. Older appliances but they all worked fine. The back deck was a nice place to enjoy a cocktail and play a board game or watch the local deer. The local "beach" is about a 20-25 minute walk and it does cost money. Lots of bees there in the summer so be careful. We ended up going up to Pinecrest Lake which was awesome.

This was just a fun little trip for us. The cabin is centrally-located and has lots of rooms for our family of 5, plus a family friend. Everything feels a bit old/outdated, but very clean and comfortable. The convenient location is the best - the nearby lake is a 5-minute walk away and the perfect place to park with a blanket and spend a day.

Twain Harte is a must visit, especially with kids. Location was great. House had everything we needed. We’ll be going back again for sure.

Our stay in Twain Harte was wonderful. The property was clean and cozy. Although it did not snow during our stay, it's not too far from areas that do have snow.

The location was fantastic...easy walking distance to the center of town, with options for takeout food and groceries. Easy drive up the hill to snow areas (it wasn't snowing, but there was snow on the mountain. If it is snowing the drive will be longer and you will need chains). Conveniently located near both Sonora and the Pinecrest. Very long dining table for big group. Includes washer and dryer. Allows pets, which was necessary for us with our husky. 4 twin beds in upstairs loft. We slept 4 kids and 2 adults comfortably, could have actually had 1-2 more kids with us and still fit comfortably. Warning for people with young children: The stairs up to the loft were extremely steep. My youngest is 7 and I still felt scared having him walk up and down them. If you have young kids you plan on sleeping up there, I would consider if you feel safe having them walk up and down the very steep stairs by themselves. Otherwise, the loft space was very spacious and convenient to have 4 twin beds. We brought all our own bedding, including pillows and comforters/sleeping bags, but the bedding can be provided if you want it.
