Close proximity to port. Comfortable and clean room. Nice bar area.

Noisy staircase. Having to pay for parking in hotel car park.

Have stayed here two or three times before when catching the ferry to Portsmouth the next day. Very handy for the ferry terminal, restaurants, beach (D Day Sword Beach) and D Day memorials and museums etc. also has secure on-site parking (extra cost) and serves a good Continental breakfast. Staff are always friendly, welcoming and helpful. Our Brittany Ferries sailing was cancelled at short notice due to an unspecified technical issue and the hotel staff were very accommodating and understanding.

Currently there is a lot of re-development work going on at The Casino and a residential complex which are both opposite the Hotel, However, it's not all that noisy and doesn't go on beyond 5pm. This is nothing to do with the Hotel and it will be finished early next year anyway, so just our bad luck it was going on when we were there.

The location to the port

The location is perfect. The bed very comfortable and clean. The staff were very friendly.

The hotel is very very tired overall. The hallway and stairs are grotty and in need of decorating, along with new carpets. We paid £130 for a sea facing room which I don’t feel was value for money overall .
