Best Western Hotel Lakmi Nice

The location was ideal fpr shopping, accessing transport to various key plsces and leisurely strolls around Nice. The hotel was welcoming comfortable with plenty of decorative touches to provide a warm family feeling rather than an impersonal.chain suitable for business people.

The breakfast though adequate waass poor quality and we found ourselves seeking better eating experiences in the neighbouring restaurants and cafes. There was variety but the creams were cheapest, the yoghurt was okay, the bread Wass a bit tough . The pineapple was cutbinto huge rough badly trimmed chunks, although fresh There just seemed to be a very cheap basic element in the various goods eg sausages werre tinned frankfurters the bacon was. thin scraps of something. I've eaten much better in small two star establishments in Paris

Centrally located with lots of restaurants and shopping nearby. 15 mt walk to main square, old town and promenade . We had a Classic Room which was very clean with a comfortable bed, a very nice bathroom and a small balcony with chairs and table. Receptionists were friendly and helpful and we particularly liked the free coffee machine there which gave lovely coffee.

The musty smell in rooms (we were 3 couples) which did not come from the bathroom, should be addressed. I also heard another guest mention this. The rooms are small but I found this to be the normal when researching other hotels in Nice.

Location is great, few minutes away from train station nad tram stations, in the middle of shopping street and 5-10 minutes away from main square and the beach. The staff is very friendly and cooperative. Beds are vey comfortable and the room was cleaned every day. The breakfast is excellent, but with a small selection, so it gets boring after 2-3 days.

The hotel is clean, but renovated a long time ago. By painting the walls, they tried to hide the age of the renovation. They do not open the windows in the common area, so there is a unpleasant, stale odor smell inside. The bathroom is renovated, with a low ceiling and no ventilation.
