Peppers Clear Mountain

Scaffolding, had phone conversation about facility. No mention of scaffolding but was told nice view. Wouldn’t have stopped trip but telling us about renovations would have been nice.

Views and the restaurant was pretty good. As well as the pool and darts room, tennis court and swimming pool

The staff were really friendly and accommodating. The pool is great. Excellent place to stay for mountainbiking.

No mini bar and no room service. This was annoying because there's nowhere nearby to buy a snack or drink.

Peppers Clear Mountain is in a beautiful location with absolutely stunning views. The property has clearly undergone some renovations, and overall, it’s a lovely place to escape for a night away. The staff were friendly, welcoming and pleasant throughout our stay. Our room was comfortable and generally clean, and the peaceful surroundings made for a relaxing getaway. There are a few quirky features, including some incredibly squeaky floorboards, but these add a little character!

Unfortunately, breakfast was a real disappointment. We waited over 30 minutes just to receive our tea and coffee, followed by another half an hour for scrambled eggs and bacon. An hour is an excessive wait for such a simple breakfast, and the gluten-free bread was particularly unpleasant. Accessibility is another significant concern. The property has numerous stairs and no lifts, making it extremely difficult for guests with mobility limitations. While ramps are provided in some areas, several lead directly to more stairs, which rather defeats their purpose! This is something potential guests with disabilities really need to be aware of before booking. Housekeeping could also use a little more attention to detail. Although our room was generally clean, there were makeup marks on the back of the bathroom door and someone else’s hair in the shower.
