Pool and hot tub were great. Home was accurately described in description. We had a critical lightbulb out and maintenance was out within 12 hours to replace. It was a solid property for the price, 600 feet to the beach is accurate.

Very clean, close to shops, easy access. Had a couple maintenance problems that were handled very promptly be company.
Would like to see the tree limbs over driveway parking area trimmed. They scrap top of vehicle roof going under them, also need new box spring in upstairs bedroom. Overall, very good. Would stay again.

Property was as described. Maintenance was very quick to respond to emails. It was nice having the credit towards beachware rental. We enjoyed the pool. We loved the Corolla area. It was nice to be in walking distance to grocery store, restaurants and shops.

The property was dirty. Mildew around 1 shower, another didn't drain, and 3rd had the worse head I've seen since high-school. Property is not treated for spiders or bugs. Spiders EVERYWHERE! Property had screened in porch, but it was open and infested with Spiders and webs. Hot tub did nothing but foam when the jets were on. Upstairs AC wouldn't go below 72°. Broken window blind, windows that barely open, doors that take a body builder to open. One bedroom blanket had red stains in it. There was scattered pieces of scrabble on 2 floors of the house. Nail polish on the floor Upstairs. 2 terrible, small tvs with none in the bedrooms. Dryer takes almost 3 hrs to dry a load. And I could go on and on. And I have some pictures. Whoever owns or maintains this home should be ashamed. Water stains and broken hardware. Could be a really nice place if it was taken care of properly.

The house was lacking basic necessities. Most of the lightbulbs were out. The house was not cleaned well from previous group. The refrigerator barely worked. Will not be staying at this property again.

The worst looking house on the block, in need of paint also.

The advertising was completely false. The house is NOT 600 ft to beach access. It smelt like mold upon entry—there was visible mold On the AC exchange. The dishwasher was rusted and not working properly. Apparently no one called the maintenance company because they sent someone to fix immediately.
The wrap around porch was full of rusty nails and the dinning room table chairs were broken. The beds were the most uncomfortable ever—worse than a bad days in!
The property management company was very responsive!!! We would work with them any day. BUT the owners of the property really probably need to get some things updated after this season.

The advertising was completely false. The house is NOT 600 ft to beach access. It smelt like mold upon entry—there was visible mold On the AC exchange. The dishwasher was rusted and not working properly. Apparently no one called the maintenance company because they sent someone to fix immediately.
The wrap around porch was full of rusty nails and the dinning room table chairs were broken. The beds were the most uncomfortable ever—worse than a bad days in!

Make sure you pay close attention to the layout online because the house was very different than it appeared online. There recently painted the exterior of the house and added new decks but the inside needs a lot of attention. The garage door doesn't work - you have to open it manually and it is very heavy. The house is noisy - don't know how else to describe it. You can hear everything that happens on all levels and outside. The bedroom with a king bed in on the middle floor and the slightest movement upstairs sounds like an elephant is walking. The refrigerator wasn't cooling correctly - due to the seals so they had us prop a piece of wood under it. All of the appliances need updated. The dryer took 3 cycles to get clothes dry. The hot tub didn't work and the water inside was very smelly. There are only two tvs in the house - none in the bedrooms and the tv in the living room is really small. The management company was great and any time we had an issue they were very responsive.

There was a leak around a recessed light in the living room and the house smelled musty upon arrival. Code to the door sent in the app was incorrect. The code on the welcome packet was different and worked. No water pressure in showers.

The fence on the pool was loose and boards fell off while we stayed. We were also told when we rented the house that the pool heater was in working order but when we arrived and called to have it turned on they told us they would send someone out to turn it on but when the pool guy arrived he said that the pool heater hadn't worked since 2016 and the rental company knew that. We called to tell them and they basically said sorry about your luck. The house really needs cleaned there were crumbs everywhere under the couches and tables beer bottle caps everywhere you looked.

For the first time ever, we had to cut our trip to OBX short. The sleeping arrangement at "The Answer" were a bit too much to bear. After two nights of sleeping in the bedrooms on the second level, we could no longer take the musty, moldy smell of the 1st and 2nd levels. We reported this issue to Shoreline and a specialist came out right away to address the issue but all they did was try and mask the smell by spraying an industrial strength Febreeze. To be perfectly honest, I don't know what they could have done to address this issue, short of ripping out the carpet and gutting the place to the studs and renovating the entire 1st and 2nd floors. So, for the past several nights, a family of 5 with three grown boys slept on the 3rd level on a pull out and a bedroom with a full size bed. Needless to say, this was very uncomfortable and not something one should have to endured during the one week that we look forward to each year. I truly believe that the moldy issue at The Answer is a health concern and should be properly addressed. Contacted the rental agency for a possible refund (prorated), but no reply.

The location is great and so is the large private pool. The house is on the older side for that area. We have stayed at The Answer several times. The decking needs attention as do some of the exterior doors. There was some confusion on the property managers part. We were suppose to get early check in, we ended up getting in the house at 2pm. It looked like to us that the cleaning team had rushed to get the property ready and left the floors, kitchen and dinning room areas dirty. That was the first time that had been an issue. The previous tenants left a lot of items (trash) in the yard and on the deck.

Somewhat tired house. We couldn't get the house we had last year. There was no coffee table or rug in the small living room. Just two small couches and a chair. Beer can and other things left under bed. One roll of TP for 3 bathrooms and no soap. Otherwise close enough to the beach. Kids had fun in pool and hot tub although there was a brown stain around the pool and the floor was ripped. I would not recommend this particular house to a friend.

Check in process was good. Food left in the refrig. Had to call about all screens being torn on screened in porch. Very prompt and sent someone immediately, however not a very good job, and in three days 3 screens were torn again. One sink was clogged and lots of nail pops on decking...hazardous. The rental was great in terms of location and convenience. It had everything we needed. Bedrooms were comfy and private. Only downfall were some maintenance issues like loose boards on the deck with nails, the main door couldnt close without some force, screen doors were loose and falling out. Once those issues are fixed, this would get a 5/5 stars!! Great house.
