The resort is like a hidden jungle paradise — so peaceful, lush green, clean, and perfectly designed for a romantic getaway. Every corner is Instagram-worthy, the pool, the villas, the rice field views — just breathtaking. But what made our stay truly extraordinary was the staff! A huge thank you to *Suar at the reception* — such a genuinely warm, helpful, and professional gentleman. He went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect for us from check-in till check-out. And *Devi at the restaurant* — wow! What amazing service! Always smiling, so attentive, and made every meal extra special with her kindness. You can feel she loves what she does. MATHIS Retreat is not just a resort, it's an experience. It has a great location and is relaxing and peaceful. The staff is very kind and helpful- they really make you feel welcome, and help the best they can. Shuttle service works great - could offer a home time from city around 19:00/20:00 would be great.

Web pictures and reality for the rooms does not match up. They need much better cleaning, bedding, lamp, fridge! The rooms could use a more modern look; lights, curtains, mirrors - small things but effective. Kitchen staff needs to work on their speed… took forever to get food - 2 boiled egg with toast - 25 min. or 1 club sandwich 45 min.
