Veranda Belle Mare "Ex Veranda Palmar Beach Hotel" - All Inclusive

The Manager Kewal & his staff - that’s the reason I keep coming back to Mauritius. These locals go above and beyond to make sure we are comfortable and it’s clear that they are experienced and very very polite All cocktails and drinks marked with * only are free - huge variety available only from 11am each day No swimming after a 7pm due to the water treatment You need to pay taxes when exiting the hotel check this out and include in your budget

Know that there are only 2 restaurants of which 1 is all inclusive and the other you would need to sit for seafood and reserve bookings

A good 3* hotel...nothing more nothing less. Welcoming friendly staff. Well appointed comfortable room and well presented grounds and pool area.

All inclusive food choice was limited and the food could have been hotter. Bar service at peak times was insufficient.

Very chill and quiet place with very attentive staff. Special mention to the staff at the bar/pool, the dj Bensley, Clive the tour guide and the gentlemen in charge of guest relations (Kenwal? Sorry we can’t remember his name😔). They arranged us a cake for my birthday and Bensley played a special song for us 🥰 Overall great staff, great vibes and the hotel beach is beautiful.

Sami was a star, he went above and beyond for us. If it wasn't for his service we would have left the hotel on the second day. The location is beautiful and the spa was excellent. The check-in team was efficient and very friendly. Rooms were clean.

The beach chairs are in very poor condition ( some broken/ torn ) and hurts your back making relaxing on the beach imposable, the beds in the rooms are terrible and you end up sleeping on the base planks. They need to be replaced. The breakfast dishes ( very limited selection ) doesn't get re-filled so first come, first serve if you want bacon. They only re-fill the dishes when the management staff eats at the buffet. Stray dogs are a big problem especially when they sleep on the chairs leaving hair on them and the poop on the grass is a problem. Also if you have a beachfront room don't leave the door open as the animals will go inside. Some staff especially at the restaurant and at the bar act like you are an inconvenience not a guest. Luckily not all act with such rude attitudes. The management just makes excuses. When it rains the staff doesn't remove the pillows on the seats which ends up wet for days making them unusable. The boats crosses onto the swimming area and it could cause serious injuries! It is not the Veranda we knew.
