The hotel was in a good location for our needs as it was not far from the port of Ouistreham and we were driving south the next morning. When we eventually gained access, we found a good sized triple room which was clean, as was the large shower and toilet room. The beds were comfortable enough and the breakfast was perfectly adequate for the price. There was a good sized and secure car park. We would stay there again - but try to arrive earlier!

We arrived in the dark by car at the other end of the road that the hotel was in but there were no signs to direct us. At the hotel there was no information or way to contact anyone when, as scheduled, we arrived tired and late at night. Initially we did not get room access cards or understand how to get them. Also, we were only able to get the car into the car park by using the code from another driver. The machine outside lacked information and was in a very dark place. The touch screen was dull, very insensitive and extremely slow. It did manage to charge the local tax which we, evidently incorrectly, thought had been included in the price. However, we did not initially appreciate that it should have provided access information and key cards as it just went back to the opening screen. After being given access to the lobby by another person we found no information posted to help us. We made several unsuccessful attempts to make contact as well as trying to get information from the web site. Eventually we revisited the machine in desperation. After re-inputting our data, much of which fortunately it had retained, it surprisingly provided the necessary cards and access information. In the room, the shower was good but there was no proper fixing for the shower head. Also, there were insufficient towel hooks for the size of the accommodation. The owners need to provide the Booking.com site with more out of hours access information for naive travellers or provide it after confirming a booking.

A good economy hotel. Clean and good staff.

The out of hours booking in machine is exposed to the weather and poorly lit. We have used the hotel regularly since it was first built.
