A family-run hidden gem! We have been at this hotel for just one night, as it was our first stop of a 5-days road trip from Athens, Greece to Lyon, France for me and my youngest son. First of all, the location is the absolute best, just a few steps from the old city market and centre. It was amazing! The parking was very important for us, since we were on a road trip and had to have a safe parking spot. The hotel was very clean and well taken care of. We stayed at one of their simplest (economy) rooms, but it was maybe the cleanest room I've ever experienced (and I am a heavy traveller): I walked barefoot and there was no trace of dust anywhere! The room size was normal and simply but pleasantly decorated. It had everything one needs for their stay. In addition, there was a nice big fridge right outside our room, which we could (and did) use to store our water (it was summer), fruits or anything else we needed. The hotel features also a small swimming pool, which was wonderfully relaxing for me to use in the evening, after being on the road since the morning, having driven for more than 6 hours and upon our return from our lovely walk to the old city! The breakfast was one of the best that I have experienced! It included local produce of honey, marmelade, eggs, cheese, tasty handmade local treats, fresh juice, fruits, coffee, cake; a really great start of the day, especially for us who were driving off to our next stop! See photo ;) But, above all - location, parking, cleanliness, room, pool, food etc. - the best of all was the kindness and smile of the owner, Qazim. He was there, waiting for us outside the hotel to help us park, ready to serve and help us in everything we needed from the moment we arrived until we left, with a big authentic smile on his face! Qazim made us feel not simply welcomed, but like being at home (he even spoke to us in our native language, Greek!) in many different ways and we sincerely thank him for that. And always with a smile!
