The balcony had not been cleaned for many months and was disgusting and filthy with a lot bird/bat excrement everywhere, on the railings, floor, air-con unit, walls, table, chairs and clothes dryer. Before we could even go on it we had to clean it thoroughly in the searing heat, then clean it again the next day as when we had used the air-con more poo had fallen off it and onto the floor! It was completely unacceptable and unhygienic. One of the balcony doors came of its rail and fell on me, light bulbs were missing in some rooms, one of the toilets stopped flushing on our last day and when we entered and put on a light switch it tripped all the electricity switches. The last thing you want to do on holiday is have to spend hours cleaning in the blazing sun someone else’s property. I spoke to the apartment about his afterwards and they refused to take responsibility and tried to make out that a cleaner had cleaned it and that the poo on the balcony was just a days worth between the cleaning cleaning it and us moving in!! Which is utter rubbish, this balcony had not been cleaned for months and a lot of it was dried on.
