Location is perfect. It's 50 meters from most famous square in old town. The apartment is rustical, it matches the old town vibe.

Low ceiling in bedrooms. Even if you are non a tall person, you might hit your head few times in the low placed beams. But the living room has normal ceilings.

Top floor apartment in fascinating and historic 17th century town house in the Gamla Stan old town area of Stockholm, the balcony on the very top floor gives great views over the old town; would be especially nice to sit out in summer. Lots of good cafes (recommend Café Krans for cinnamon buns), bars and restaurants on doorstep. Excellent base for exploring old town and beyond, very close to Stortorget and Christmas market, Royal Palace, Nobel museum etc., literally a couple of minutes walk from front door. Easy to get around on foot and also by public transport; there is a subway station only a few minutes walk away. You can also get a ferry across the harbour to the museum area - highly recommend a visit to the Vasa Museum, absolutely unique. Overall nice, comfortable apartment. Good for short Christmas city break.

This is an old historic building, so bear that in mind. Apartment is spread over three floors at top of tall building accessed by narrow winding staircase, not so good if you have lots of heavy luggage. Lower floor contains kitchen and lounge/dining area which is comfortable enough; steep stairs to next floor with bedroom and bathroom - this floor has a very low ceiling, you are guaranteed to hit your head on the beams unless you are very careful or not very tall - maybe 5ft 3in / 160cm or less. Another steep set of stairs to top floor bedroom. It's a nice apartment but not suitable for families with young children, not a problem for us, but they should make that clear, and it wouldn't be great for anybody with mobility problems. Larger pillows and bath towels would be nice. None of this would stop us staying here again.

The location is great ! The apartment has amazing atmosphere. If you want to explore the city, I really recommend this place for visit in Stockholm.

We liked : very good geographic location, a lot of equipment (dishwasher, washing machine, microwave oven ...), staff available if needed (taxi reservation)

What we did not like : Bad quality of some equipment (the bathtub was not stable (dangerous for child), the outside of the refrigerator was very hot (disturbing), the child's bed was an inflatable mattress), impossible to obtain an invoice after several requests.

Gammla Stan is very cool

The location was excellent - we could walk to museums and other places easily. We enjoyed the apartment - it was well setup and the bed was great. There was plenty of food options if needed within 10 minutes walk
