Excellent location walking distance to airport and close to hire cars. We walked to the beach less tha 2km away behind the airport and it was lovely.

The location is ideal if you land late, or have an early flight. It's two minutes walk up a little hill from the terminal.
Very clean.
Obviously it's very noisy from the planes, and it's right next to the road which leads to the terminal so there is traffic noise too. No blackout curtains, so quite bright in the early hours. I think in future I'd rather stay somewhere quieter to guarantee a good sleep.
We requested a cot for our one year old, but on arrival were informed we would need to set it all up ourselves as it was brand new in the box. The owner watched over us whilst we did this, and even felt the need to tell us the price he had paid for it, and repeated multiple times that we must pack it all up exactly as we found it and leave it in the box for him when we checked out. Luckily my husband was with me so was able to deal with this whilst I cared for our baby. Definitely keep this in mind though, and choose somewhere else if you're traveling with infants. I've never had such a fuss made about asking for a travel cot!
No food on site, and the restaurant down the road isn't very good.

Good for 1 day before your flight
•Location: it’s very close to the airport but the distance to the city center and anything to eat is 15-20’.
•clean: the first day we arrive was okay, but i was there 3 nights they never clean the room or even give us any towels, also the bin was overfull and we had to buy some plastic bags to clean the room. Also there was some dead mosquitoes on the walls with blood, and also spiders everywhere.
•service: the service was awful, when we asked for towels the owner was very rude and he didn’t give us more towels.
•comfortable: the fridge was broken and had bad smell, the bed sheets was dirty and has hair from people who stay before

The location was perfect , after a late at night arrival .

Our host was congenial and after showing us our room left us to relax , which was perfect.
The room was very clean and of a high standard.
Very comfortable bed .
We used the quilt which was located in the adjacent wardrobe which was great to have .
The shower room was immaculate with excellent facilities and the toiletries were a bonus .

We had an amazing stay at Villa Sophia Elena. The host was so welcoming and kind. He met us late, as our flight arrived in the evening. He even gave us some beers and apples. The apartment was clean and well decorated. I would highly recommend!

The room was super clean with fridge, sink and stove, everything that you would need for a mini break. Literally 2 mins walk from the airport and also close to the sea. Dennis welcomed us as if we were members of family. Because we were there at the end of the season where everything nearby was closed, he brought us to a lovely restaurant a 5 minute drive away and asked them to open for us! He really went above and beyond for us, which was amazing. A 5 out of 5 stay!!

The hosts are incredibly welcoming, friendly, and went above and beyond. They are very kind hearted people :) I was one of the last people to stay before they close for the season and they even let me stay as late as I needed to on the morning I was checking out. Highly recommend for the hosts, price, and convenience of the location.
Only tiny thing is maybe to add some thicker curtains for more privacy at the back window, but this is a very minor thing.

We would highly recommend this place! Dennis is such a wonderful host, and nothing was ever too much trouble. The room was clean, fantastic location, and we felt so welcome from the moment we arrived. Thank you Dennis for such a lovely stay! We will certainly be back!

the room was nice and the bed comfortable
the reception can be improved, we first couldn’t find anyone at the property, after sitting around some time, the owner came bare chested and behaved in a manner that made us feel quite uncomfortable.
When his wife arrived after work, she was very professional and helpful in every way.

The owner Denis and his wife are very helpful - nothing was too much trouble. Would highly recommend if you need somewhere to stay after or before a flight from Kefallonia. The room was exceptionally clean - the owner used to be a Captain on a cruise ship. Nice touches like tea and coffee and a table outside on a patio. Very quiet bearing in mind so close to the airport. Parking and very close to a good restaurant for breakfast. We had an electrical issue (our fault) Denis handled it with a smile and a screwdriver !

The location is excellent, very close to the airport with many places to eat near by and a mini market only 5’ walk from the hotel.
The room was super clean, two free water bottles were provided within the fridge and complimentary coffee and biscuits.
The host, captain Dionisis, is wonderful and extremely kind; the greek hospitality at its best!
Definitely recommended, I look forward to stay there again next summer!

The location of the property, less than 5 minutes walk from the airport, was what appealed to us when booking the accommodation.
The host was more than welcoming, assisting us with our transportation requirements for our time there and offering advice to local ammenities. Along with a MARVELOUS bottle of wine, our break got of to a wonderful start.
This is an ideal place for people wishing to stop over the night before flying, or if they are on a late flight into Kefalonia, before their onward travel.
For us, it was an ideal location for a 'rest & respite' break. Local beaches are within easy driving distance. For a more buzzing beach we had to drive 10 minutes down the road to Lassi. Though saying that, because of the time of year we went (17/10), it was lovely and quiet.
The capital, Argostoli, was a 20 minute drive away from the accommodation, offering a large selection of eateries and bars, along with a selection of boutique shops.
Along the water front we were able to witness the famous turtles, who arrived every morning to feed off the chump thrown into the water by the local fishermen.
Would we go back and stay at this property? In a heart beat.

We stayed for one day while waiting to see if our flight would take off. The owner was a wonderful character. He made sure we had everything we needed, such as extra water and where to get food etc. The room was beautifully decorated, good WiFi, great shower, hob and fridge. Literally a couple of minutes walk to the airport, but super peaceful in really nice gardens and grounds.

Very close to the airport, perfect for a quick stay if you are tired from the flight and don’t want to concern yourself with a rental car, long drive after the flight.
Very nice and thoughtful owner. Greeted us warmly to the island, had everything set up (including cold water in the fridge).

Clean, spacious and well-equipped accommodation. We stayed in the maisonette, which is big, recently modernised and equipped with everything we needed. Our host, Mr Dionysis, went the extra mile to ensure we had a comfortable stay and took care of every detail - provided ample supplies of drinking water, toilet rolls, even olive oil for cooking and complimentary local wine. Despite its proximity to the airport, the villa is quiet and is the perfect place for a relaxing holiday. It is also conveniently located near Argostoli and near some amazing beaches like Ai Helis and Avithos. We would gladly book Villa Sophia Elena, if we were to visit Kefalonia again.
Everything was perfect. The only thing that could be improved is the air-conditioning units, which are a bit too noisy, especially the one in the big bedroom. Other than that, no complaints at all!
