Sana Spa Hotel

Liked the location of the hotel. Was idea as I love to walk everywhere to explore. The town of Hisarya is not that big and it was great to be able to see the Roman ruins. Also liked the room size and the balcony. The bed was comfy but the pillows were very hard, making it challenging to sleep as I normally would. I am usually a good sleeper. Sana Spa is also in a very quiet environment near a lovely park. There is a small hot natural pool that is in the gardens. I love immersing in hot Thermal Waters and I think this was a bit of a let down. I still went into the pool even though it was raining as there is not shelter! The hotel has two big pools, one outside which was covered up maybe due to end of season and one indoors. The indoor pool was cool. I must say the Spa Centre was absolutely amazing! For breakfast, I loved the coffee and the Bulgarian yoghurt.

The hotel deco is dated. The lighting in the room and bathroom is dim. The carpets are so old that they look dirty. The room was not vacuumed for the whole time I was there. One has to take a shower standing in the bathtub. Though I must say the bathroom was very nice with a concrete flooring. There were no musky or damp odours. I was not impressed with the breakfast. Looked scanty, scrambled eggs were clumpy and very dry - cold. I could have sworn the big olives had gone off! They tasted stale. Even the salads looked 'tired'! They do not offer refreshments in the rooms - no tea, coffee or water! Hisarya is doted with water fountains so I just drunk that!

A bit high price, when spa is in that condition, specifically pool. Outdoor pool is closed, as we were warned fairly before the reservation, but also the inside pool needs a bit maintanence..and a bit warmer water would nice. All other spa facilities except pools are good.

Der äußere "Sowjet-Charme" täuscht - innen ist alles saniert und kommt sauber und modern daher. Das Zimmer ist modern, klimatisiert und mit bequemen Betten ausgestattet. Bademäntel und Handtücher liegen bereit. Im Spa-Bereich finden sich neue Saunen, der Innenpool ist mit Mineralwasser befüllt und der Ruheraum ist ansprechend gestaltet. Auch der Fitnessraum ist ordentlich ausgestattet. Es gibt außen noch ein Jacuzzi und einen Liegebereich, die sonstigen Außenanlagen haben wir nicht erkundet. Man kann direkt vorm Hotel mit der Erkundung der römischen Befestigungsanlagen beginnen - die Stadt beherbergt faszinierende und erstaunlich zusammenhängende Relikte der Antike. Außerdem viele Thermalquellen zum selber zapfen.

Aufgrund der geringen Gästezahl während unseres Aufenthaltes gab es kein Frühstücksbuffet. Wir sind trotzdem gut satt geworden ;-)

Breakfast was okay. staff were polite and helpful!

The water in the pool was cold. We visited with a child under two, he could not get in the pool. Very disappointing considering the rating of the hotel. I would not recommend going to that hotel in the winter.
