Great location, clean and good breakfast.

Lady greeting us was quite frosty. Not very welcoming, which was not a good impression.

Location was perfect, nice and cosy rooms, room was exceptionally clean. Provided tea coffee biscuits and extra fresh milk for our room. Breakfast was delicious and so much choice.

The only thing was, my wife struggled to sleep as the mattress was too soft. Everything else was perfect!!

Everything about this guest house was spot on, the room & bathroom was immaculate w options provided to change whatever was required & provide additional uht milk, coffee, etc if required. Beautiful hot cooked breakfasts served very professionally in a lovely dining room. The server was extremely polite courteous & a pleasure to see each day

When I booked the room via Booking.com I was advised I could pay via cash/credit card on departure which I choose to do. When checking in, I was reminded that the room hadn't been paid to which I agreed that is correct. I was advised again on morning of checkout prior to breakfast that the room hadn't been paid yet to which I agreed. Whilst packing our belongings & putting bags outside room, I heard owner call to daughter 'Has everybody paid? I acknowledged the daughter as she passed to advise I hadn't. My husband & I took our luggage down stairs & I settled up our account as I'd initially expected to do. If the owner had asked for payment when we initially checked in, I would have happily paid then. I feel the owner shouldn't advise Booking.com that guests can pay on departure. As it was a really good 4 night stay for my husband & I celebrating our wedding anniversary. I felt this pressure to pay was unnecessary as we hadn't been asked to do so in advance.
