Aqua Vista is a perfect property for your Smiths Lake Getaway. The View of the lake is spectacular! The house has everything you need to enjoy your stay. Becky is a great communicator and even gave us a late checkout so we could enjoy the lake just a little longer 😀

We loved everything! If I had to pick something the stairs from the car park down to the house and the steepish walk down to the lake are probably not suitable to anyone with difficulty walking.

Nothing really to do that was within walking distance. The few shops at Smiths Lake were pretty basic, but we went into Forster each day, so that wasn't really a problem. Driveway entry/exit a bit tight, we spun on the gravel reversing out a few times.

Peaceful and relaxing with wonderful views over the lake. Great food and all general shopping needs within 5 minutes driving from the door. Beautiful beaches within 10 minutes. Driveway a bit tight but ok. Lovely weekend away.

Steps weren’t an issue for us, but there are some getting down to the house from the parking area.

Driveway was rough

It was so easy to relax on the back deck and look at the water. It was a great place to base ourselves from and catch up with family over Christmas.

The view and bush were gorgeous!

I Had to call the host to find the place, there was no house number at entrance to indicate where it was ~ just a small Aqua Vista sign on the ground in dark brown behind the rubbish bins that was not visible. Only 2 of the 6 steep outdoor step lights were working. Entering the home it didn’t smell fresh and clean. Kitchen drawers were dirty, old bits of different cutlery and utensils thrown in. Second bedroom Duvet was dirty and smelt like it had been used several times before. Cupboards were filled with old smelly blankets and rubbish. Curtains were falling off the rails in bedrooms and living room. Bathroom towels were still drying in tumble dryer on arrival and didn’t smell fresh. Washing machine was dirty with mould inside. Veranda and outside furniture were dirty and not cleaned and swept for a long time. The outside bench in the garden is unusable, falling apart. Rubbish lying outside under the Veranda that was very sad to see in this beautiful area. This property has not been maintained for a long time. I’ve posted Pic’s of what I’ve mentioned about this property, but it was not posted by booking. com ~ even more disappointing 🙈

Beautiful views of the lake from the balcony. We liked that it was pet friendly. Effective air-conditioning.

The bed was very uncomfortable, needs replacing, the springs dug up through the mattress. The place seemed to lack care, no hand towels in the bathroom, mould on the balcony.

peaceful and divine setting. the photos don’t do it justice. we worked from the place for 2 days and had 2 days off. it was so beautiful to be there. so good to have our little dog with us as well.

The location, the view, the stairs winding down through a lovely bush garden, and walking into the house with a spectacular view greeting you as you walk through the door! It had just about everything we needed. Comfortable warm bed, good pillows, hot shower - the essentials! Also, we always appreciate hosts who allow dogs - thank you.

Minor things ~ no tea towels, or rubbish bags. Admittedly it was a cold snap while we were there, but it’s a hard house to heat because it’s so open plan…I imagine it would be very cool in summer! Couldn’t work the air-con because we couldn’t find any instructions, but maybe it wasn’t reverse cycle?

Location west facing for sunsets overlooking the lake with easy access was just great in and amongst the trees

Maintenance was very poor - laundry tub tap was running unable to be turned off - as this is a septic system quite unacceptable - additionally, both knobs to control the ceiling fans were broken making the fans unusable - in high summer, not a good thing. To the agent's credit, she arranged a plumber shortly after our arrival to fix the tap, but did not fix the fan knobs. Telephone reception very poor - had to go to the top of the hill to send and receive

Everything was fantastic. Becky was absolutely amazing host.

The location was perfect and the view was spectacular. The house had everything we needed for a relaxing stay and we were able to bring our dog. There were shops and places to eat nearby and plenty of things to do around the area. Our contact for the property, Becky, was wonderful. She got in touch due to the floods to reassure us we could get through and checked the house before we arrived to make sure everything was ok.

One extra towel would have been great (although we had our own with us too, so not a big deal).
