Osabarena Hotela

I arrived very late to Osabarena Hotela after watching the total solar eclipse. The wonderful owners of the hotel ensured that I would be able to enter my room even though the front desk was closed by the time I got there. We loved the huge walk-in shower after a long day of travel. When we woke up, we were enamored with the secluded area and farmland with horses, chickens and pear trees. I had a lovely talk with the owner, and she told me about the history of the farm and how she renovated her uncle's land to make this charming hotel. Thank you for a great memory.

Set in a picturesque village, with lovely, friendly helpful people running the hotel what not to like! Parking was easy and my van of fishing gear felt very safe. The bedroom was excellent, a big double bed was spacious and extremely comfortable. And as for the bathroom, the sunken bath / shower was brilliant! The three levels of breakfast on offer were most enjoyable.

The only thing I missed was no coffee / Tea facilities in the room but that’s a minor issue.

Very friendly people, carefully decorated rooms, staff eager to assist, great breakfast - we couldn't finish it as it was too big!

Lovely location in the countryside just outside of Bilbao. Easy 30 minute drive to the airport.

With climate change the house was very hot the day we were there. The fan didn’t really make a huge difference. Probably time to get AC.
