Hostal Juana de Arco

A very beautiful place with great people with an Awesome Customer Service - Everything is closer if you know how to do your way Around (Restaurants, Shops, Transportation, Etc) - Friendly Staff and Knowledgeable (Juliana and Maria did a great Job) - Breakfast basic but Good - I did loved how the bathrooms are positioned strategically through the Place Note: Everything is awesome at the Hostel just be aware of your surroundings specially late at Night while Outside and dont be a Picky Tourist because the staff is doing the best they can at all times :)

- Just a small issue with not getting Hot Water but to me is no big deal

Hostal Juana de Arco is located just by Santo Domingo Square near the center of Quito. The rooms all apparently have a private bathroom, and mine was also large with a comfortable bed, private bathroom, and a lovely view over the square. There is also a nice and good-sized kitchen with several dining tables, so you can bring some food, cook, and eat there.

The room overlooking the square can be a bit noisy with the trollybus traffic, (Trolebus) but it calms down at night, and it is certainly worth any small disadvantage to have the wonderful view over the square and the 5 minute access to the Santo Domingo Cathedral.

Die Unterkunft liegt direkt im Altstadtbereich. Alle Sehenswürdigkeiten sind zu Fuß zu erreichen. Das Kloster vor der Haustür bietet einen schönen Rundgang mit einer Führung an. Sehenswert! Wir könnten gratis einen Parkplatz in der Nähe für den Mietwagen nutzen. Direkt bei der Unterkunft gibt es keine Plätze.

Das Zimmer war zur Hauptstraße ausgerichtet. Die Geräuschkulisse war sehr groß. Der Host konnte leider kein Englisch. Somit war die Kommunikation etwas schwierig. Wir haben z. B. erst am letzten Tag erfahren, dass es eine Küche für die Gäste zum benutzen gegeben hätte. Das inkludierte Frühstück war nicht im Hostal, sonder in einer der Imbissbuden. Mal war es ok, dann war fast nichts. Nur ein Ei hat es gegeben. Dann haben wir das Frühstück selber zubereitet.

the bed was very comfortable and my room was big and spacious with a nice window view. you could also open the window and get fresh air.

There was visible mold all over the wall on one side of my room. there was a shower in the bathroom connected to the room, and the bathroom shared a ceiling with the rest of the room, which is presumably why. That being said the air felt fine to breathe all in all, but yes, tons of mold on the wall.
