The location was fantastic. My family stayed in the Big 4 next door so it was great to be so close to them. The water is right across the road, perfect for paddle boarding or having a picnic.
The property accommodated my family perfectly. Having the laundry facilities were an added bonus that allowed me to go home with no washing.
The chalet
Looks exactly like the pictures on the website so we knew what we were paying for.
The bugs were horrendous. I get being next to the river that there would be some but this was next level, the toilet and bathroom were covered in bugs at night. The bugs were our biggest issue, they were on all surfaces, the shelf where the glasses are kept, the cooktop etc. we couldn’t even sit outside late afternoon because of this.
The property is dated, the bed was very uncomfortable.

i liked the serenity and proximity to the beach- A tiny bit away from the main strip in town which I preferred. The owner left us rackets and balls and a frisbee for the kids to play.
only thing is the inside info sheet stated there was a playground- but it was a large grassy area, not a playground. It was beautiful and lots of space for kids to run around on

It was adequate and clean. Very close to the scenic beach.
The beds in the 2nd bedroom are old and uncomfortable, the master bedroom bed is okay. The internet is very poor–possibly sharing with the attached chalet. There is no FTA TV (there were houses with aerials nearby, so looks to be available). As the lounge furniture is uncomfortable as well, evenings were not quite how we had hoped to spend them to be. The kitchen is equipped to basic level and the shower is not offering consistent warm water. We didn't appreciate the email/texts saying we were to sweep, empty rubbish, etc etc. We wouldn't leave a big mess but we don't pay current holiday accomm prices to do the housework.
