The check in electronically was a problem for me but probably my own fault. I would also prefer a kettle in my room rather than in the communal area. But everything else was great.

Brilliant communication before, during and after. Location was brilliant, close to everything. As a solo traveller I felt very safe walking back to accommodation late at night. The accommodation was nice and quiet and I loved having a little balcony. Room was spotless and staff were very friendly and helpful. It was a wonderful bonus, to be able to drop my bags at the apartment early than the check in time.

There was nothing about the property I didn’t like it was fantastic. I would absolutely recommend this property to my friends and family to use if they ever travel to Martera.

Everything is prepared with much love and attention! In every detail! With the self check-in you are completely independent! The location is very close to the old city centre, but very silent by night. Very clean room with all necessities present. When you arrive in the afternoon, you will find many parking spots (blue lines) close to the B&B. I also received very nice suggestions from the host for good restaurants in the old centre!

It is not a big problem but note that breakfast is not included when you book with booking.com. You can order it later for 5 euro.

Good small functional hotel, located close to city centre, you get what you need. No specially allocated parking, need to find a city parking (street or underground).

Martina, the owner, is very sweet and communicated everything very well. She gave us recommendations and always kept in touch with us even before arriving. Pet friendly b&b, and she even had a bowl of water waiting for my pet which was so thoughtful of her. The place was spotless clean, and the breakfast was so good! Within minutes of the city center, everything walkable. I will definitely stay here again!

We rarely write reviews of accommondstions, altough we are avid consumers of accommodation services since we travel a lot. For this accommodation, it was self-evident that we would also like to tell other Matera- travelers about this wonderful option. 1) Communication The hostess contacted us well in advance of our arrival and we received valuable information without asking e.g. good restaurants as well as attractions in the area. 2) Arrival The hostess, who spoke very good English, welcomed us warmly upon our arrival. From everything we saw, we noticed that special attention had been paid to hygiene and Covid-19 - regulations. 3) Room A small chalkboard was hung in the door of our room, where we were personally welcomed. Special attention had been paid to all the other interiors with small and beautiful details. This same theme was also evident on the way from reception to room. The air conditioning also worked great. 4) Cleanliness The room and bathroom were fresh and very clean. 5) Bed Both the bed and pillows were of good quality and we slept very well. 6) Breakfast Before we arrived we received an inquiry regarding our breakfast requests. We responded to the inquiry and regarding the current hygiene recommendations, breakfast of our choice was served in the room. 7) Top location The property is located right next to the pedestrian area in the center of Matera, on a quiet little street. We can warmly recommend Myricae and when we come back to Matera, we will surely book a room here again!
