Die Lage und die Zimmer sind traumhaft! Das Essen war sehr gut und das Personal aufmerksam und freundlich. Sogar die Massage im SPA ist sehr empfehlenswert! Die BootSafari sowie der Game Drive waren supa toll, wir haben viel gesehen, die Landschaft ist abwechslungsreich, die Guides sind erfahren, bemüht und in verschiedenen Sprachen versiert.

An Unforgettable Stay at Serena Mivumo Lodge It is a real pleasure to write this review about our stay at Serena Mivumo Lodge. We spent five wonderful days here and look back on the experience as something truly special that we will not soon forget. Our adventure already began with the journey to the lodge. We flew from Dar es Salaam with Coastal Air, a flight of approximately 50 minutes, to a small airstrip in the middle of the Tanzanian wilderness. Landing on a remote airstrip, literally in the middle of nowhere, is an experience in itself and immediately gives you the feeling that a very special adventure is about to begin. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by our host, Richard, with his wonderful smile and enthusiasm. After discussing the possibilities, we decided to do a short game drive directly from the airstrip. This turned out to be a fantastic choice. Before we had even reached the lodge, we had already seen beautiful wildlife and experienced the incredible nature of Tanzania. When we arrived at Serena Mivumo Lodge, we received a very warm welcome from the staff and the manager. We were shown to our lodge, which had a beautiful view over the river. From there, we were able to spot crocodiles and hippos on a regular basis. The location of the lodge, surrounded by nature and wildlife, is truly spectacular. Throughout our entire stay, from the moment we arrived until the moment we left, everything was exceptionally well organised and taken care of. The entire team clearly goes above and beyond to make sure their guests have a comfortable and memorable experience. A special thank you goes to Richard, who took us on our game drives. The Wild Ride Tours were fantastic! Every day, Richard shared fascinating information about the animals, plants and surrounding environment. His passion and knowledge of the wildlife were obvious, and he made every drive special.

Please be aware when booking Serena Mivumo Lodge that there is a mandatory park fee of $154 per person, per day. This fee applies because the lodge is located inside the national park and is charged in addition to the accommodation costs. Please note that this additional fee was not clearly indicated on Booking.com, so we were quite surprised when we were informed about it.
