The property is close to Grahamstown yet far enough away to be out in the country. Easy access and shady parking. It was also nice to be able to walk in the reserve and a bonus to see giraffe, Nyala, zebra and impala.
A bit of road noise during the day.

Super nette Mitarbeiter!
Keine klassische Game Lodge. Fokus auf Jäger!

An amazing place. Chris was exceptional with accommodating our needs. We would really come back for sure
Loadshedding

The service was great. The manager is hands on and him and his staff went the extra mile to make sure we were comfortable
There is no alternative to Eskom, so during loadshedding, we were in the dark for the duration of the loadshedding, and then when that happens, even Wi-Fi does not work

Martin and his team were absolutely incredible. From personalised meals to great conversations at the bar or front of the braai. Rooms were spacious and clean. The lodge was private enough to feel that we were in nature, but the location was conveniently close enough to Grahamstown to visit family whenever we wanted to.

Martin is a fantastic host, very informative and helpful and welcoming! We stayed for only one night, and he made fantastic dinner( burgers and butternut creamsoup and desert), and breakfast and showed us around, we could fed Whiskey the Zebra with apple. Room was clean and beds were really comfortable.
I liked everything, but if you’re not fond of stuffed animals, then this place is not for you😉
we didn’t do the game drive, because if felt a bit overpriced.

The staff is amazing. The place provides comfort and is beautiful. Props to Marko, for making my graduation stay memorable. He’s the most helpful, thoughtful and polite individual. I look forward to visiting again.

We had some lovely meals which our host prepared
We had a game drive which was very good although the weather was not too good but our host tried very hard for us to see lots of animals
Giraffe at the fence in a morning plus the 'tame' zebra' called Whiskey always visible
Water wasnt always hot and toilets didnt flush very well although our host did try to sort it out

Martin, his son and the rest of the staff went above and beyond to make us feel at home and comfortable. The food was wonderful. We managed to see a lot of game and enjoyed the of bird life on the farm. We loved meeting Whiskey the tame Zebra.

Martin called a few days ahead of our arrival, and offered us some dinner options (something we had not yet contemplated, considering the lodge is 12km from town). We opted for a barbeque, and it was the best decision we could have made! The tame zebra who arrives at breakfast time, hoping to bag an apple or 2, was a hit with the kids.
No complaints - just wish we had stayed longer

We were warmly welcomed and immediately felt very welcome. Rooms are lovely in a beautiful old renovated house. Very hospitable game farm experience. Delicious potjie was prepared for our family and we were treated like very special guest. Drinks are readily available and being served. The kids enjoyed the walk to the hide out and we saw a few different buck, zebra and giraffe. Thank you, we had a fantastic stay!

A huge thank you to the Team at Temba for making our stay feel like being at home from home. Breakfast wasn't a meal, it was an event. So too dinners when taken. Martin is an inspired chef and host. The rooms are spacious and have DSTV on the flatscreen TVs. The bed, pillows etc very comfortable. 5/5

The ease with which a large number of invited guests for breakfast were fed. Tanya made everyone very welcome and the breakfast was delicious. After the meal everyone enjoyed a casual ramble around the garden and an interaction with Whisky, the resident zebra.
The unfortunate power failure was not the fault of our hosts!
The wind which blew fiercely some days was also not of their doing.
We had zero complaints of any sort.

Woke up to Giraffe and Zebra’s less than 30m from our bed !

Very nice place, Priscilla was kind and helpful, Whisky the tame zebra very charming. Springbok and a Blesbok and Sable close to the fence at dinner and in the morning.
Maybe a bit pricy in the current situation. Next to a public tarred road, fortunately not too busy.

Gorgeous setting! Duncan and Priscilla are wonderful hosts, have great customer service skills and made our stay very enjoyable. The best welcome was from Zoey the resident teacup ridgeback who is absolutely adorable and super friendly! The duiker came through the gate and grazed near our room in the morning. Petting Whiskey the tame zebra, what an experience!
Our stay was too short!
