A wonderful place to unwind! It’s peaceful and cosy, with everything you need and more. **THE HOUSE** A spacious, warm house with two bedrooms and plenty of beds. There’s also a sofa bed downstairs, making it a great option for several families or a large group. Each bedroom has its own bathroom with a shower, and there’s another bathroom with a shower downstairs. The large open-plan kitchen and living area is well equipped. There’s also a fireplace and a great selection of board games. **BARBECUE** There’s a dedicated barbecue area with lighting and plenty of firewood behind the house. **SAUNA** The reviews don’t mention this much, but there’s a fantastic wood-fired sauna on the property. Its large window lets you gaze at the starry sky - absolutely magical! **LOCATION** Access is easy via a gravel road, and there’s parking beside the house for several cars. The house is tucked away, with no roads nearby and very few people around. About 50 metres away, there’s a trail that makes a great starting point for an adventure. I rented an e-bike in Jasná and followed it up to the top of the ski slopes without having to ride on roads with traffic. I did have to get off and push the bike over some rocky sections, though. **OVERALL** If you love solitude, nature, a cosy fireplace, and a sauna, you’ll love staying here!

There are fewer trees around the house than the photos suggest, but it still feels like a cabin in the woods. On the plus side, there’s now a fantastic view of Mount Chopok!

The cottage is designed and furnished with great taste and attention to detail. I asked the owner if he is a specialist in interior design or if it is just a hobby. I really appreciated the design of the living room, with the fireplace and the bookshelf (the first time we see books in rental locations), the very well-equipped kitchen where absolutely nothing was missing. Also, outside it has a terrace with furniture and two barbecue places, one covered with a place to eat. I used them every day. But...

The big problem is the location of the cottage, how the forest looks NOW. The main photo shows you a cottage in the middle of the forest. In reality, the cottage is surrounded by woods on only two sides. In the back, the forest is cut down and looks desolate with tree stumps 1 meter high. On the right side, in place of the forest, other cottages have sprung up, some of them under construction during the time I stayed there. Workers worked around the clock, including Sunday. Instead of the sounds of birds, we had the noise of stone grinder and chainsaw. EVERY DAY. Surely, from now on, this place will be a construction site for many other cottages for a long time. When I asked the owner when the deforestation happened, he answered that it was three years ago. I asked him why he didn't update the photo of the property. He answered me with a soft smile from which I understood that he did not consider that he had done something wrong. I consider it a SCAM for those looking for a cottage in the middle of nature, a scam for which Booking is also responsible.
