Posada de Roncesvalles

Dinner was unexpectedly very good, and the staff were attentive and helpful. Breakfast was also quite good.

It was beautiful and clean with an onsite bar and restaurant. The woman who checked us in was super sweet and gave clear information.

Room was very clean and a lot more modern than you'd expect from the age of the building.

Our room was a split level with 1 bed down and two up. Cool room EXCEPT there is no window! I've never been in a room without a window. There was a skylight but you could not open it. The room was blazingly hot and no way to vent it. Not comfortable at all in the loft beds due to heat. Woman at the front dest was lovely warm and welcoming. Bar staff could not care less if you were alive. Staff is dining room was of similar note... I never saw a smile and never felt welcome appreciated. Granted this is Spain, not the land of service with a smile.
