Lækur Guesthouse

Price was good, very easily reachable with free parking and bus stop nearby. Bakery is nearby as well as a supermarket. Amenities are okay.

Showers and toilets can be very dirty. Even though the personnel made an effort to highlight the house rules (quiet hours and cleanliness, for instance) there happen to be a lot of dirty and loud people who like to make noise for long (e.g., playing music and talking loudly in the common area until 1 in the morning), and keep the kitchen and eating area, as well as the showers in a very poor state. I don't think that this is necessarily a problem with the accommodation, but it's good to know that it apparently attracts these kinds of people. Given that in June the sun does not go under and sleeping may anyways be a bit of a hassle for some, this in addition may make it hard for some, especially with children.

We liked the cleanliness of the room, toilet, shower and kitchen.

Everything was fine.

They have the sharpest knife I’ve ever used in a shared kitchen.
