Fosshotel Mývatn

This is a modern hotel and a great base to visit the nearby attractions. We ate dinner at the restaurant which was very good. Rooms were comfortable, staff was friendly.

We stayed at Fosshotel Mývatn for two nights and enjoyed our stay. The hotel is conveniently located for exploring Lake Mývatn and nearby attractions, including the Mývatn Nature Baths. There is also a small grocery store and an award-winning fish-and-chips restaurant just a short drive away. We bought takeaway fish and chips, and they were delicious! The breakfast buffet was excellent, with a good variety of choices. We also had dinner at the hotel restaurant and really enjoyed the food. One of the highlights was the beautiful view overlooking Lake Mývatn. The outdoor terrace is a lovely place to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. We also tried looking for the Northern Lights at night, but unfortunately, we weren't lucky enough to see them. Overall, we had a pleasant stay and would happily return.

The room was a little smaller than we expected, but otherwise, everything was fine.

Everything!! Fosshotel Myvatn was an incredible location, facility, food and the rooms were so comfortable! They had everything you wanted without even knowing that you wanted it!
