Pool House Hostel

Lovely homely feel, with a well equiped kitchen and complimentary coffee each morning. They staff were so helpful with suggesting buses and things to do and spoke good English. The pool was nice to cool down in and the house had pet tortoises which were so cute

Gatitos were so cute, same goes to the little doggo and turtles. I love when hostels have animals roaming freely around. The kitchen is well equipped, the water dispenser is amazing and the common area with a pool is very welcoming.

I'm okay with cold showers but this one was extremely freezing! Despite having an electric shower head so it clearly doesn't work. Plus the drain smelled really badly.

I loved it there. It's simple but cozy. It feels like home! There are two cats, two turtles and a dog (Coco I love you:)) - very sweet. The owners Adri and Roberto are absolutely great and so lovely. They speak English, especially Adri. They are very helpful and there to help if you need anything. It's very clean, the kitchen is small but has all you need and free filtered cool water, which is great! The common area is cozy and comfortable, chill music in the background. There's a clean pool in the back yard. The rooms don't have AC, only fans, so it can be hot, but it was alright. It offers good value for money so there's nothing to complain about. I absolutely loved staying there. I even came back to it and recommended it to others, who also liked it. So I can highly recommend staying here - you won't regret it. It's less social and less busy (because there weren't a lot of people) but if more people come here I'm sure it would be. They provide space to connect and be social. Also it has a great location. It's super close to the main square and everything like supermarkets and restaurants are in walking distance. To Adri and Roberto: thank you once again for your hospitality and kindness! Location is great. Owners and staff were very friendly. Kitchen is very adequate. Back 'private' bedroom was fine except for the noise (see below). Hostel dog, 2 cats and turtle were very friendly.

The owner gave us their "quietest room in the back away from the street." Nonetheless, 2 of the 5 nights, the owners hosted very loud parties with loud music that went as late as 4:15am while sitting in front of their own sign in the dining room saying quiet hours are from 10pm until 7am. Owner smoked in the backyard with the smoke entering the bedroom.
