We could not have been more pleased with our stay. This was our last stop on a three week family vacation back home to the island and Fajardo. Mercedes is an awesome host and the apartment was perfect for us all. Really enjoyed that I could use the infinity pool and the kids had fun at the pool with a slide. My favorite part was just chilling on the balcony watching the boats go in and out of the marina. Wish I was there this morning with my cup of coffee.

We stays for 4 nights for part of our 10 night visit to PR and this condo was perfect for us! Plenty of room for 3 teens and parents. Plenty of hot water. Great balcony where we spent most evenings with a nice breeze. Security excellent. We did not visit the pools or gym but they looked very nice. Great ground floor entry for ease. We flew from Ceiba to Vieques one morning and it took less than 15 minutes to get there. Don't hesitate to book! Apple maps "PenaMar" is easiest for directions

Wonderful stay in Fajardo. Close to activities and El Yunque. Host was very responsive and had nice recommendations for things to see, where to eat etc.

The property was very clean and met the needs of our family. The views from the balcony are fabulous and so refreshing. The fitness center and one of the pools with the jacuzzi is very close to the unit. Several excursions depart from the nearby harbor and there are many nice places to eat nearby. We travel to Puerto Rico at least once per year and will definitely stay here again. The owner was very responsive when we reached out.

Beautiful and secure condo in gated community with parking, pool, jacuzzi, and weight room. Perfect for our family of 5! Mercedes was so kind—very helpful and made sure we were comfortable and had everything that we needed.

The apartment, balcony and pool were all lovely for relaxing. But it was also a great location from which to see El Yunque, bioluminescent bay, and a day trip to Vieques. I would definitely return if we ever have the chance! 6 adults were very comfortable in the space.

Very nice location. Wonderful view from the porch. Spent mornings with our coffee and evenings with our cocktails in the porch. Definitely need a car for grocery shopping and trips to outings. Taxis and Uber’s are available and very helpful also. We had everything we needed in the condo and our host was extremely helpful and responsive if we had a question or need.

Mercedes was very responsive. The condo is great and the view is wonderful. The property is almost too secure because you need to go through security for everything. On the whole, a wonderful place.

The place was awesome, nice and clean, beautiful view to the marine, Fajardo is a very good place to stay. The condo has all you need, beach stuff, chairs towels, also beds and pillows was very comfortable, we definitely going to comeback. Mercedes was very kind and she help us a lot with our trip, she give us a very good tips to make our trip more amazing! We absolutely loved our stay here. Mercedes is a wonderful host and the condo is spacious. We had our family of seven fit comfortably. It’s easy to access the beaches nearby or to take the ferry to Vieques or Culebra. The condo was clean and had everything we needed. The property also had a nice swimming pool and exercise room. We would love to stay here again.

This condo met our family's needs perfectly - two parents, two older teens. The bedrooms are spacious. All beds and seating were comfortable and clean. The view from the balcony is amazing. Balcony has ample seating & a hammock. Kitchen was well-stocked. We enjoyed the big pool nearest to the condo, and it was never crowded. The host was very helpful and responsive during our trip/stay. Getting in and out of the gated condo complex worked fine for us. One time we arrived 'home' after 10pm and we had to wait about 10 minutes for the 'gatekeeper' to come. It's worth noting that you cannot walk out of the condo complex. We had to drive to go to the restaurant right across the street! Location was ideal for all of our planned activities. Great accommodations for the price.

My family of five stayed at the property for six days and had a great time. The unit was clean and the facility was very well maintained. Nice pools and weight room. Views of the ocean and sunrise from the balcony were great with our morning coffee. A little road noise and fireworks noise were heard from some holiday celebrations on two nights. Close by restaurants that are within walking distance, but not a well marked pedestrian exit from the gated entrance. The unit had great beds, fresh new towels and having a washer and dryer was very convenient. Be sure to bring your own detergent. Location was close to a great beach, only about 40 minutes from El Yunique, and an hour from San Juan. Thank you Mercedes for being so attentive and helpful!

My group of three really enjoyed staying at Mercedes apartment The apartment is wonderfully decorated clean and convenient to many of Puerto Rico's best attractions including Bio Bay kayaking, Seven Seas beach, El Conquistador casino, El Yunque Rainforest, Luquillo kiosks, and the ferry port in Ciebia. There's plenty of food choices nearby from local grocery shops, food trucks, and restaurants to any chain you'd find at home. There's a wonderful panoramic view of the Marina and the bay across the road from the balcony. And an inviting hammock here to relax and have a rum punch or cold drink while enjoying a restful time. The rooms were spacious, beds were comfy, ac was individually controlled in each room. The kitchen was well appointed with a roomy fridge, microwave, stove/oven, and dishwasher and washer/ dryer. The water dispenser didn't work, so we had to buy ice and bottled water, but no biggie. There were plenty of dishes glasses and utinsels available and cookware too. Even though we didn't cook much, I'd recommend to Mercedes a toaster oven for reheating leftovers and a blender for mixing drinks, and a sauteed pan or two. The cable cable and streaming services could use a little more explanation on use, but we managed to get by and weren't on vacation to watch TV anyway. The security to the gated complex, and locked apartment building doors are well executed, and appreciated. Your person and cars are in good hands. The security guards are polite, and speak English as a second language. We had additional guests our last two nights, and they quickly contacted Mercedes and accepted their entry. There were only a couple of times when we returned to the property and we had to wait about 10 minutes for the guard to return to the gate to get in, and we chalked those up to a patrol, or a shift change. Overall the property was great, and the apartment exceeded our expectations. Mercedes and her family took great care of us and responded to our most minor questions or concerns quickly and kindly. We have used VRBO for over 10 years and Mercedes was the best host we have had! We arrived late and were tired from traveling for 14 hours and were happily surprised to find the unit on the same level as the parking so unloading was very easy, no steps. However, we forgot to stop and get food, my Spanish is not great and we were struggling trying to order a pizza from Marcos for delivery. We were exhausted and starving, we reached out to Mercedes and she facilitated us getting our pizza delivered, going way above and beyond what a host normally does. In addition to the condo being beautiful with a peaceful, gorgeous view of the marina, it was spotless and very spacious, with a great floor plan that made it feel like a home. The master has a very comfortable bed, comfortable living room furniture, a tv with all the streaming apps you could want, there is an ac unit in every room so it was very comfortable. Sitting out on the patio, watching the boats come in and out of the harbor with the breeze from the water was just what we needed to relax. I would like to also add that there happened to be a multi-day island wide power outage while we were staying in the condo, and the entire complex has a generator including power for every unit, so we were able to continue to enjoy our vacation uninterrupted. We had plenty of paper towels, bathroom items, towels etc. for our stay and the kitchen is very spacious with what we needed for the cooking we did. Thank you so much and we will be back!

Nice location close to everything. Nice public beach a mile away. Pool on property. Ocean view across street from a marinia.

Due to covid restrictions the use of the pool/gym was schedule for 1hr daily use. 17 people total per hr. (6 only for a party of 8) Ask questions, this might change in time. Once you know the area it is easier to navigate locally and to beaches/restaurants/recreation. A guide would have been helpful, but if your are from Florida driving is not a problem :) do your homework. Due to restrictions last dinner orders are at 8 pm at restaurants & stores close at 10pm. Sites need to be schedule online i.e El Yunque, Culebra etc. Overall we enjoy our stay and the view is beautiful. Either you get use to local food or must drive to comfort eateries. Very quiet and serene. Locals are welcoming. Must buy extras once you run out. (Paper towel, toiletry, bags) No visitor allowed due to assigned parking spaces. Check out is at 11am!!

Apartment was well furnished. Owner was great. Gave us directions and suggestions. Security was nice and always made us feel secured during our stay. I will definitely come back to enjoy this paradise.

Average Condo. Balcony faces the the street, so you get noise from cars and motorcycles. Has satellite TV with minimal package ( No ESPN) Not good because we could not watch college bowl games. TV speaker was blown. We had to hook up to stereo speakers. Lucky my son was with to do this. No wash clothes or hand towels furnished. No toilet paper. Only one beech towel. Only one beach chair. The cooler had the drain plug missing. Was useless. Bed mattress in master was thin and uncomfortable. When it is windy, you get a lot of wind noise thru closed windows. Not good for light sleepers. Same if you open up windows. It is close to infinity pool and slide pool. Its on same level as parking lot so convenient for luggage and groceries. Emailed owners suggestions too improve, but did not get any response. We would not stay here again. Would recommend not staying in clubhouse clusters because all face road and are noisy. Which is where this condo is located. Stay in Tennis Court condos. Much better and quitter. Penamar is a great complex and close to everything. Across the street from Harbor. Close to top restaurants. Close to Beech. Close to all shopping. Highly recommend this complex. You just have to find the right location for your condo. Ask lots of questions. Cable is better then satelite.

We rented 2 apts. for 5 days and 4 nights at Peña Mar. My family stayed in Mercedes’s apt. She was extremely nice and very reachable. The pictures on this apt. do not do it justice. The apt. is so much nicer in person. The décor is beautiful, and it has a nice view from the balcony. The apt. was very clean and comfortable. I asked my sister in law if she liked the place, and she said she was ready to move in. We had a great time in the pool, and it was always very clean. The grounds are also very clean, and well maintained. They have 24 hour security. We felt very safe. We will definitely stay again, and we recommend it.
