2 minutes walk from the rail station.

The pub is a traditional local, with friendly staff. The room was clean, the shower worked well and the pricing was spot on. The location is very handy, a short walk to the station, lots of little shops and food outlets within easy reach and only a short walk to Darlington town centre.

Convenient and clean. I expected noise from the bar downstairs but was pleasantly surprised at the relative quietness

No the most salubrious area of town and was worried about the parking but everythinwas ok - a bit of noise from Royal Mail wagons early morning but not too bad

I had an extremely comfortable bed bed and being on the top floor meant it was very quiet. The black out blind was also very effective.

Great value for money for a quick overnight stay in Darlington. Room was spotless and the bed was very comfy. Check-in and out were very easy and there were plenty of options for food/drink close by, and both buses and trains within easy walking distance.

• Reception staff were very friendly and efficient. Room was clean and adequate • Electric socket by the bed, very important for medical equipment • Bathroom was clean and well equipped, and no problem with it being seperate, not ensuite.

• The heating was so hot! I had to turn off the radiator and open the window all night, (See point about safety/security strap). And it really hit you when leaving the room, onto the landing/corridor. • The safety/security strap on the window was broken - reported but no action immediately. • No electric sockets near the kettle, which had to be put on the floor to boil, not convenient or safe. • No signal to the TV, reported, told it was because of the weather and nothing could be done. • No one in attendance in the breakfast room, I had to wait 20 minutes for someone to appear, so delayed in making order for full English, and when it arrived it was cold (hadn't been put in the microwave), so by time she reappeared, it was too late to resolve. I also had to deal with a delivery driver, who was also looking for staff. • Poor quality bedding - pillows and duvet, very thin

The room was comfortable and had everything I needed. It was excellent value for money.

I could hear footsteps of people walking up the corridor outside my room when I was sleeping but no one was loud or talking, just an old building maybe. it didn’t take away from my enjoyment though
