A little bit of DIY required but no detriment to our stay, but needs addressing

The cottage was in a lovely setting, it is very well equipped - particularly the kitchen - comfortable and clean, with plenty of information provided by the host.
The lounge double doors were difficult to close, which let a cool breeze in. The lounge could also do with a little table lamp/mood lighting.

Location was great, loved the village. Kitchen was really well stocked, great for us as we cooked all of our meals.
The ground floor smelled strongly of cigarettes when we arrived. We aired the place out for most of the first day, but still not sure we really got the smell out. The beds in the two smaller bedrooms are quite uncomfortable- mattresses are creaky and if the other person moves, you will be woken up.

The cottage was beautiful and spacious. Plenty of room for 5 adults. Decorated and styled to a high standard. Quiet, peacefull and easy to find. The coffee, cakes and fresh eggs went down a treat. Thank you
The stairs to the attic bath room and no toilet up their.

Beautiful, very large house, has everything you need and more! The garden is beautiful and great for kids to run around.
Incredibly clean, loved the kitchen facilities. Really a dream getaway.
There's nothing we didn't like

A perfectly situated property in Coln St Aldwyns, location and building was just stunning capturing the beautiful cottages of the Cotswolds. It was ideal as we were here for a family wedding with others staying in the village.
The cottage was perfectly laid out and spacious for 6 adults.
We were able to make the most of the outdoor facilities with the bbq and seating. the kitchen was also perfectly equipped with everything we needed for the few days we were there.
The bedrooms were a great size and beds extremely comfortable - we all slept extremely well.
We all only wished we could have stayed longer!

Lovely location in a pretty village with an excellent pub. Easy driving distance of Cirencester. Easy drive to Cotswold Wildlife Park which was great.
One or two rooms were rather dated and could do with an upgrade. Not that important but would be good. Maybe some plants and paintings on the walls would be nice. Pine furniture is a bit old fashioned unless painted!

photos don’t do it justice, this cottage is lovey, well maintained and had everything we asked for. It is really easy to find and is a stones throw from the village shop/cafe and children’s playground
the stone floor in the downstairs hallway is on different levels so could be a little unforgiving if a child were to fall but this is the nature of the property and the site it is on

The house was very clean and well equipped for 6 adults. We cooked in the house (as well as dining out) and had everything we needed. The lounge was comfortable as were the beds. Host was very friendly and helpful and the recommendations she provided were very helpful.
The master bedroom has an ensuite which is handy but it doesn't have a toilet so six adults sharing one toilet overnight (although there is a WC downstairs) was a challenge. The wifi was strong in the loungeroom but didn't reach other rooms.

Thank you for the cake and the eggs. The accommodation provided was excellent.
Outside the back entrance door there is a small step on the right hand side of the door. 3 of us stumbled on that step as we were new to the property. This could have led to a serious injury, luckily it did not. Just a suggestion: you could level the path beyond the back entrance door making the step to back garden.

Peace and quiet, location, short drive to most places we wanted to visit, pub just round the corner. Lots of cooking utensils and pots and pans if we wanted to stay in and cook. BBQ in garden which was handy a few nights.
Downstairs WC had no lock, hopefully they will fix this for next visitors, ensuite bathroom in loft has no toilet, which was a surprise when we got there...
Phone reception in the area isn't great, only a few places you can stand in or around the property to make or receive calls. WiFi seems to only work in the living area where the router is located.

The location in Coln St Aldwyn’s was truly delightful.
Absolutely nothing.

Good location, not overlooked with ample space. Good sized bedrooms with storage space in cupboards.
Nice size kitchen which catches the sun in the morning. Well stocked with utensils and equipment. Garden was lovely with many honey bees buzzing on a very pretty shrub. Very quiet location. Chairs for toddlers in the garden are a nice touch.
Lots of books, some dvds, advice for walks, good village shop and pub. Great heating and hot water. Beds very comfortable with lovely linen and towels.
Some areas a little tired. Electric shower in family bathroom, it’s an old house so good water pressures often not a surprise.

The cottage itself was really lovely, so much bigger that we had thought from the pictures. The cottage was really homely without feeling like you were staying in someone else's house, the cakes, eggs, milk, coffee etc that were left for our arrival was a lovely touch and very much enjoyed.
The local shop is great, fresh eggs, well stocked, homemade cakes etc.
The cottage is in a pretty little village but we found it to be a great location to base ourselves, there are so many walks and great pubs close by that you are just spoilt for choice.
The booking process was easy and the owners very friendly, will definitely be back again.
