Sehr bequemes Bett, super lage, toller Ausblick.

Good location and friendly staff
Fans were not cleaned and ridiculously small toilet where I couldn’t even turn around

The location is very good-close to absolutely everything. Room was clean, however it was very small for two people. If you are looking for a short stay and to be close to everything-this is a good option.
Size of the room

In the hart of the city. Nice friendly staff clean rooms and shower.
A kettle in the room with tea and coffee would be nice

If you're a solo traveller this place is good for its value and size. It's clean and 24/7 reception and in the middle of the action. Recommended for solo travellers

Really close the central station
7.0
Great central position, close to the main station and in the middle of the city, nearby lots of restaurants and bars.
There is not so much noise insulation, so we could hear the nearby doors opening and closing during the night

Good location, v close to the station and the centre of Amsterdam was within walking distance. Also the staff let us leave our luggage at the hotel throughout the day which was ideal
Strong smell of damp in our room, very off putting! Lack of ventilation meant our towels didn’t dry well! Really hot over night due to lack of a window
4.0
The staff were really nice. One guy on reception was particularly helpful, gave us coffees and was very friendly. The location was central but unforntunately it is slap bang in the middle of the red light district.
The first night we were there the room was awful. We had bunk beds that didn't have real mattresses and my teen children couldn't even sit up. The room was really tiny- 4 people you could hardly move, it felt damp, the bathroom door didn't close and there were wires hanging out of the wall. It was off a courtyard where people were smoking weed and it was drifting under the window which was unsuitable for children. It really was awful. I asked the staff on reception and they got us moved for the next 2 nights, which they did, to much better room, higher up the building, it was still quite small however and noisey at night but it was 100 times than the previous room. This one didn't have bunk beds, you could open the window and it was cleaner. However, one of the plug sockets was broken with dangerous wires again and the hairdryer was also broken. The position of the hotel is central but it is in the middle of the red light district, sex shops, coffee shops etc - so if you are on a stag do great but there are so many nicer areas of Ansterdam to stay if you are with your family.

it was very clean and there was space to have your own breakfast in the little hall
you could hear all the movement of people inside the hotel and when I booked I didn’t notice it was very close to the red light district so when we came back to the hotel with kids the ladies already showing themselves in the window

There was no light at the wash basin area. Poor lighting in the room

All the staff were extremely friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. We enjoyed the fact that they were from different parts of the world.
We had booked a small double room as we did not anticipate spending much time in it. The room we were given was a broom closet! The bed was slightly larger than a single bed and the distance between it and the wall was less than half a metre. There was no space to move around or open our small suitcases, not one shelf to put our clothes.... 2 hangers hung above our heads at the top of the bed. The bathroom was tiny and it was necessary to slide ones legs under the basin in order to sit on the toilet. The basin tap lever couldn't be pulled up all the way as the lever hit the glass shelf above.
We appreciate that space is at a premium in Amsterdam however, to call this a small double room and indicate on the website that it is for 2 people is completely unacceptable. While the staff assured us that such small double rooms are normal for Amsterdam, a quick glance at booking.com's other hotels in the area showed small double rooms which were definitelly larger and even had room for a desk and a couple of chairs. We got the feeling when talking to the staff that we were not the first to complain about the small size of the room. They did their best to address our concerns and arranged for us to move into in a slightly larger room for our 2nd and 3rd night. This room was nicer, had a decent sized double bed and was what one would imagine a small double bedroom to be. We did have to pay an additional amount however. We spent a very uncomfortable first night in the original room.
A couple of other points - there was an unpleasant smell on the central staircase reminiscent of cat's pee or blocked drains. Perhaps the carpets need a good scrub! It would also be good to have someone to help with carrying luggage up the many stairs. The staff helped when they could but it always felt like a bit of an imposition as there weren't many of them and they were pretty busy. All in all, this place felt more like a hostel than a hotel.

We were a group 12 senior footballers playing a local team and needed a place just to get our heads down for one night but be central for good bars, restaurants etc.. The Facade met our requirements perfectly. On a nice canal next door to good bars in easy walking distance to the station and areas of entertainment. The staff on reception were excellent, very helpful and courteous. The beds, we had six to a room, were very comfy. All in all a great hotel for our needs.
Little bit pricey, but accommodation in Amsterdam is!

close to the centre
the smoking area was closed after a certain time and I had to smoke on the streets which was a bit weird at night

The location
Extremely steep stairs, the lack of cleanliness in the room we were booked in was HORRIBLE. we had to request a room change due to mould, excessive dust build up, signs of ceiling leakage, poor ventilation in the bathroom. Once we got another room free of charge the overall cleanliness was better, however details like ridges in the shower being dirty, ripped and dirty window curtains and peeling wallpaper still stood out like a sore thumb. You could hear everything outside the room at all times! Staff were pretty understanding with our concerns but took a whole day to sort the room change.

you wouldn’t want anything more for a group trip in amsterdam. the location is perfect, especially if your arriving by train. The room and toilet is clean.
The bunk beds were very uncomfortable.
