Killarney Towers Hotel & Leisure Centre

We loved the location and the Pig's Lane speakeasy at the hotel. The staff was extremely accommodating and assisted as needed, as my husband uses a walker. We did not partake in breakfast at hotel so cannot comment on food. There are so many restaurant choices within short walking distance. It is close to Killarney National Park and the jaunty ride will end right behind the hotel making it an easy walk back to hotel at the end of ride. If you want a traditional Aran sweater, a great woolen store is right across the street.

It is a hotel widely used by bus tours if this is a deterrent for you but it did not affect our stay. Just beware of bus tour check-in time and try to avoid checking in at that time.

Location is great, staff are lovely, food in the bar was really tasty but so disappointed with the portion size, it was so small, something that we didn’t experience before, maybe they were running out as it was really busy. Absolutely loved the cellar bar, it had everything, music was great too. Breakfast was great, really good selection and friendly staff, loved the white pudding. Have to mention the jacuzzi bath tub, fabulous.

Portion size in the restaurant in the bar, really small.

Killarney Towers is a gem in the heart of Killarney. The staff really took care of us and the access to their various services (laundry, breakfast buffet and the leisure center) made our stay one of the best on our trip to Ireland. We were also able to take advantage of the parking lot right across the street. Walking around Killarney in the evening was very accessible; there are restaurants and pubs everywhere, plus great shopping. After a long day of exploring the ring of Kerry and visiting Skellig Michael, it was really nice to have a swim and steam in the leisure center (towels provided!). Definitely recommend this hotel.

We have no complaints. We felt very taken care of and had all of our needs met. Killarney offers a lot of options and we felt that Killarney Towers Hotel & Leisure Centre gave us everything we needed to best enjoy our stay.

Location

We were on the first floor. It was over the bar and VERY noisy at night. Staff were lovely, hotel was clean and location great but not worth €280 for one night, even with a nice breakfast. Would have been nice to know in advance we should have brought earplugs
