This hotel is about marble and golden decorations, it is surely clean and very nice, but a bit outdated. The people at the bar are extremely friendly.

The hotel was not very lively. The concierge made me do a booking for the fast train by myself. That was a disaster. I could not find the booking in my Alipay, so I missed the train. Chinese people do not realise how difficult it is made for such things.

Breakfast has a reasonably good spread, and the orange juice is one of the better ones as some places offer orange drink rather than orange juice.

Aircon control wasn't good, and the shower hose was really one of the worst as it needs to be turned to the extreme end to receive hot water and it's a waste of water.

Pretty used up. Mainly Chinese customer focus for western people breakfast etc quite average or below expected standard.

Overall hotel needs a refurbishment, however everything was clean Restaurant and lounge was closed more early then announced

The hotel is very handy for Hongqiao airport and well placed for shops and restaurants. In addition, it is only a half-hour taxi ride to the Bund. The entrance lobby is beautiful and a relaxing place to sit and chat or work. The breakfast is varied and the rooms are comfortable.

Some rooms have linking doors and you might hear noise from the neighbours. Ask the receptionist for directions to your room because the hotel layout can take a little getting used to!

Location was properly the best and maybe to consider again...

As I arrived at 15:30, no room was available because the hotel was full last night!!! (I am happy for the hotel but it should not be my concern), after an extensive and unnecessary discussion, they gave me a voucher for ONE simple drink at the lounge...simple means ONE coffee or ONE tea... it's a joke...and yes, at 16:00. Finally, they managed to find a clean room for me. TV channel choices do not win a competition either...unfortunately my Chinese and Russian knowledge are not up to standard, only ONE English channel... Aircon is going in a similar direction, does not work, and creates some noise...my complaint landed 2 hours later a mobile aircon in my room, which I nicely refused. And yes, last point, please check the toaster before you start; there is much dead bread from the other days/weeks underneath waiting to be taken.

Western food not meeting the expectations at all.

Nice breakfast with variety of options, proximity to the airport, Starbucks in the hotel, walking distance to subway station.
