The Originals City, Hôtel Alteora, Poitiers Site du Futuroscope

I really enjoyed my stay at the property. It is within walking distance of Aquascope, which was very convenient as this was one of the places we visited. The staff were extremely professional, friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. The entire property was also very clean and well maintained.

I can’t say that there was anything I particularly disliked about the property. However, I feel the breakfast selection could be improved, as I found the choice of food to be quite limited.

The location was perfect for getting to futuroscope. Decent continental breakfast. Clean hotel.

Not many casual food options past a certain time, we tried to order but was denied as the bar staff took too long to submit the order and it was 2mins past the time. I was with my 6yr old so was disappointed they didn't do better at trying to provide something considering there were no food places walking distance.

The reception staff were welcoming and placed my medication on the fridge for me as there was no fridge in the room.The room although small was adequate and comfortable with everything you could need. The hotel is ideally placed for Futuroscope about 15 minutes walk away. On the first evening we had a very nice meal in the restaurant.

Breakfast on the first morning was chaos. Although a good selection was on offer the staff were struggling to keep up. We left the table to get something and returned to find our breakfast was being cleared away. The second evening we returned to find we could not have dinner as the restaurant was closed except for reservations, which turned out to mean a large party. We were told we could have bar food however, once we found someone to serve us we started to order from the bar menu but were told,quite firmly that the only thing available was the charcuterie board all cooked food was 'off' despite there being chefs in the restaurant cooking for the party. This was Sunday and we felt that we were a nuisance to the bar staff who appeared and disappeared spasmodically. The hotel would have had much better review from us had the good service we experienced on the Saturday been carried on.

It was close to the freeway and staff is friendly

Breakfast is not as advertised. I can't imagine how this will be in high season. No fancy almond pies or abundance. But dry brioche and empty juice machines. Yoghurt and pain du chocolates were very nice. The hotel looks nice but when we arrived in the room it smelled like sewer. Cause was the shower drain that was removed. Took us 30 minutes of running water plus an open window to make it bearable. We stopped on the way to Spain, but maybe it's alright when you want to visit the amusement park.
