Ardree House B&B

The location was very convenient, right on the main street and only about a 5-minute walk from our day tour meeting point and around 10 minutes from the town centre. The room was clean and comfortable, with large windows that made it feel bright and pleasant. The bed and pillows were also nice and fluffy. The B&B had a lovely cozy and peaceful atmosphere. I especially liked the lounge area, the many books available to read, and the unlimited tea and coffee. The breakfast dining room also looked very nice, although we didn't have breakfast there. The staff were friendly and helpful, and they kindly allowed us to store our luggage after check-out. Overall, it was good value for the price.

There were only a few minor issues. We noticed a small bug in the bathroom when we first arrived, although everything else was clean. The bathroom exhaust fan also didn't seem to be working properly. There is no laundry facility available, which would have been useful during a longer trip. One morning, the fire alarm suddenly went off for an unknown reason and startled us, although it was a relatively minor disruption to an otherwise peaceful stay.

Location to downtown, clean and comfortable

No fan or ac in room, breakfast buffet food bland tasting

Great location and staff. Very comfortable bed.

Quite noisy from room number 1. Hear the creaky stars anyone came up, door right underneath closes hard and right above the area where people chat away at 10-11pm having a cup of coffee/tea.

Check in was easy and they accommodated a late arrival. It is a dated facility that has some charm.

The rooms are a tad dated and the beds are not comfortable at all. I know it's common in Ireland for places to not have air conditioning but a simple fan for a large room really isn't enough. Perhaps I missed it when booking the room but I was surprised to learn that breakfast was for an additional fee. I've stayed at other bed and breakfast places in the past and they all at least made an effort to make unique breakfast to order, not just provide a very simple buffet.
