Novotel Guiyang Downtown

This hotel is convenient, walking distance to food street and shopping centre. Ten minutes walk to metro station to take subway to Quiyangbei station, where we took the high speed train to Kaili and Anshun. Breakfast is good, room is clean. Thanks to front staff Ella and duty manager Kino, we had a room upgrade on the 25th floor.

Location was good.

We were surprised when the stuff asked for deposit security bonds of approximately 1300 CNY and only got 890 CNY back when we left the property back. By calculation we loss approximately 500 CNY without any explanation.

Hotel is in a great location, walikng distance to metro. Staff at the front desk really helpful especially Rea.

No one to help you with your luggage on arrival. Breakfast was okish nothing special. We were allocated a smoking room although we had requested no smoking. Took 3 attempts to find a suitable room after complaining to manager. Although room got sorted the beds are absolutely horrible. Rock hard, my partner and I experienced this for the first time during our entire trip in China. We did complain but were told all beds in the hotel are like this and they receive many complaints of the same. You'd think management would take this feedback on board and make changes esp for a global chain. If you love your sleep and don't want a broken back I would avoid it.
