Mitsui Garden Hotel Okayama

We stayed in a Superior Twin room, which was spacious, at least by Japanese standards, and very well appointed. The toilet was separate from the shower and vanity, and everything felt well designed and was in good, fresh order. The air con was also quite quiet compared with other places we’ve stayed. Breakfast was varied, and reasonable, with a roomy dining area, and decent coffee machine. The reception staff were excellent and helped us with a restaurant reservation for dinner that we couldn’t have managed by ourselves. The hotel is a short walk from the train station.

Nothing of any significance.

Very good value for money. Rooms very clean and new, very comfortable and cozy. Location is also great as it is very near to the train station and main food district. There's some free drinks and snacks at the cafe area too. Laundry facilities are available too

Only complaint is that there are only 6 washer+dryer machines for the whole hotel, with each cycle taking up to 2 hours. I ended up waiting till almost 2am to do my laundry. Perhaps more machines would help! But otherwise a minor issue

The staff were incredibly helpful eg giving me phone charging plug and cables and coming to room to explain things

Breakfast and ceiling in bathroom of room 3904 had alot of mould

Das Frühstück war abwechslungsreich

an allem wurde gespart unter dem Deckmantel der ökologischen Bewirtschaftung
