The owner of the hotel is a very charming person, he is extremely helpful. He learned English by ear so you can take advantage of his advice. We very much appreciate that he has come to run a business on his own, and despite various difficulties, he is constantly trying to develop. Additionally, the location of the hotel is great.You can walk to the bus station in one minute and buy tickets for different destinations to explore more of the region. Access to Mount Emei is great too.

Close to the center. Just a few minutes walk to the tourist center and bus station where the journey to Mt.Emei starts. Extremely friendly, kind and supportive staffs (the husband is also an excellent chef). English speaking is a big plus.

Very close to the bus station to Mount Emei. The veranda literally looks at the bus station. The hotel has 20 years experience in dealing with western tourists and is equipped with detailed info on the routes and monasteries. It has free luggage storage and laundry service (line dry). The boss is able to communicate in English but never push any tour or car rental ( which is rare in this area) on us. But they could help with purchasing tickets when needed. There is a restaurant on the ground floor which we dined every night. Decent food and decent price.

We stayed at the dorm the first 2 nights and moved up to a standard room on the third. The difference is huge but price difference is minimal, in fact, probably cheaper to book the room on line than to walk in.

Excellent location off the Main Street but near bus stations for getting to temples and hiking trails. Perfect “base camp” for hiking Emei Shan. Great suggestions like Hot Springs (discounted tickets) and swimming in the river to cool off after hiking. Free laundry on 4th floor. Very reasonable price and good food.

The English speaking staff made our stay and hike up and down the mountain very easy. After giving us a map and showing us the best route up for views, they directed us to the ticket station. Despite buying tickets to climb, we were put on a bus that was headed all the way up the mountain (two hours). I rang the hotel and they directed the bus driver to drop us off to walk. We climbed down the next day fairly late and were rang twice by the hotel to check that we were ok (it was getting dark). When we arrived at 8pm, the food we got from the hotel is the best we’ve had in China in the two years we’ve lived here. Couldn’t recommend it more if you are intending to climb the mountain/stay after climbing back down. They also allowed us to keep our luggage there whilst we were on the mountain for a night.

Bathrooms could be a little cleaner.
