Location and property was excellent but the personal attention from host Ariana made it memorable. She could not have done more for us. She gave us great advice on what to do and where to go and where to get bus etc.. There was a storm Sunday night and Ariana came to our apt next morning to see were we okay and gave us a bottle of wine . We will definitely stay with Ariana and Raul again .

We were met by the wonderful host, who let us in early, the location is a 15 to 20min walk into town not a problem its downhill, and with the price of wine going home we didn't care. Great City loved it we even walked over to the new port on a nature trail. Local supermarket 5 mins and 2 restaurants, not flash but good enough for a meal. The apartment had a balcony looking over the Adratic Sea and in the morning for breakfast or night time was great. Dubrovnik at night is totally different to the day and well worth going out to eat in the City the food is fab and you do not get ripped off.

Our apartment was absolutely amazing, we loved staying there, it was perfect for what we needed, comfortable, clean, easy access to the Old City (approx 1 mile) and the view from our balcony was stunning. Adrienne who looked after the apartment was fabulous, she was so helpful and couldn't do enough for us. She gave us local knowledge of where to visit, what to do and the buses to catch. We would totally recommend this apartment.

There wasn't really anything we didn't like.

The apartment had everything you need and it was in a lovely quiet area 15 min walk to the old town. Ariana met us and explained how to work everything and gave us information regarding buses beaches supermarkets etc would definately return,

Such friendly, informative host. Got so much local information. Apartment was super clean and as chosen the side sea view apartment I wasn’t expecting so much but was happily surprised. Very tranquil sitting on the balcony of an evening. Apartment well equipped and everything was nicely done.

The apartment was incredible with stunning views! Definitely the best in Dubrovnik! Perfectly maintained and close to the city centre. The host Arianna was really wonderful and kind, providing us with wonderful insights about Dubrovnik and how to get the best out of our time there. Raul was always available at short notice and was very helpful! Should be on top of the list for anyone looking for a stay in Dubrovnik!

Lovely view from the apartment, close to the old town (15 minutes walk) and public transport close to the apartment. There’s a small supermarket just 1 minute walk. Apartment was clean and comfortable. Ariana was a great host and took care of us.

The location was excellent and the host arranged for transfer to/from the airport as well as informing us in detail of the sites and facilities in the local area, all in all an excellent package

the apartment was in an ideal location with a short 15 min walk into the old town and about 25 min into Lapad. The views were fabulous and the communication with the owner was excellent. Marianne was really helpful and made our stay very enjoyable.

Raul offered us the option for his driver to meet us at the airport which was great. No messing at the airport, straight through to meet the host at the apartment. She was so lovely explained all about the apartment, told us all about the area, showed us a map and places to visit etc.

If you are only visiting for a few days and want local bars and restaurants then it is limited near the apartment. You would be better staying in the Old Town or Lopad etc. However, Lopad 20 mins walk, old town the same. You can get an Uber for £5 to either easily or local taxi slightly more.

Wonderful, clean, spacious apartment with a truly incredible sea view. Great facilities and really lovely owners with great communication. Despite all the wonderful attractions in Dubrovnik we were more than happy relaxing on our terrace most days! We visited a number of locations in Croatia and this was the best accommodation by far. We'll be back! 💕

The photographs of the apartment do not do it justice. the panoramic views of old town, Lokrum island and the sea from the balcony was spectacular. The apartment was clean, spacious and air conditioned. We found the location perfect and peaceful, but not too far from old town and other busier hotspots. Marianne & Raul were brilliant in arranging airport transfers, and being on hand for anything we needed during our stay.

Nothing. it was perfect!

The first thing we saw once inside the apartment was the view. We had a big balcony facing the big blue sea - we enjoyed our breakfast there daily and managed to see both sunrises and sunsets and who doesn't like watching those! Upon arriving we were greeted by Ariana who showed us around the flat and not only explained useful things about Dubrovnik but also recommended some restaurants and a travel agency for our day trip to Bosnia & Herzegovina (and I must say her advice was always spot on!). There were some drinks left in the fridge for us (a bottle of water, juice and 2 cans of delicious local beer) and upon having the apartment cleaned in the middle of our stay, we also found a bottle of wine left for us on the dining table! A lovely surprise indeed. But what I'd really like to stress is how amazing the hosts (Raul and Ariana) were. Four days into our trip, I managed to get a stomach bug and was probably the weakest I've been in my life. As I couldn't keep anything, not even water, down, my boyfriend had to call me an ambulance who put me on a drip. One of the neighbours called Raul about an ambulance and Raul got to the flat 3min after the paramedics got there. He then waited for my drip to be finished and got an uber to get me antibiotics and other things that the paramedics gave me a list for. He insisted on not taking any money back and both he and Ariana kept checking in on me for the rest of our stay. Thankfully, I was fine after a couple of days and I'm sure that sitting in the balcony with such view really helped me recover faster. But all in all, if Raul and Ariana are not the best hosts ever, I don't know who qualifies for that category. Thank you so much for taking care of us and letting us stay at your place. Dubrovnik was a dream!

The was absolutely nothing we didn't like when staying at the Big Blue Apartments.

Sea view was amazing! Really clean and good air conditioning. The host was also really helpful and kind. Best stay in Dubrovnik. Just outside of the city, with a 5 minute walk to the beach and 20 minute walk to the old town. Just great :)

Exceeded all expectations. Raul reached out immediately after the booking to provide helpful information and also helped to arrange transport from the airport. Ariana was waiting at the property and gave lots of good advice about Dubrovnik, showing everything on the map. The apartment was spotlessly clean and the kitchen is well equipped for cooking (with grocery store nearby). 15-20 minutes' walk to Old Town with some scenic views along the way. About 5 minutes' walk to Belvedere beach for a nice swim after a day of sightseeing. View from the balcony is even more gorgeous than it looks like in the picture - would return here just to sit and enjoy breakfasts and dinners there again. Worth every penny.

My wife and I have just spent 2 weeks at Big Blue Apartments. Everything was perfect. Amazing hosts, great location, super apartment and a breathtaking view.

I cannot express just how much I LOVED staying here! I don't even know where to begin explaining why I would give this property 100/10. View: We had a full sea view and you can see by the photos it was absolutely amazing - it doesn't get better (during Covid) than waking up to that scene every morning. Apartment: Very very comfortable, clean, spacious. Absolutely no complaints. The terrace was an amazing size too, with sunbeds to catch the early morning sun. The kitchen has everything you need and the fridge comes stocked with water, wine, beer and juice that is free of charge. Location: Perfect location if you want to be near the sea. We had the view, could take a few mins walk and get to a supermarket, restaurants, the beach. The walk to the old town is about 15 mins and it's a lovely stroll along the water - alternatively the bus is about 5/10 mins. Hosts: Raul and Ariana were amazing hosts. Firstly, Raul kept in contact with me via iMessage prior to my arrival which was very helpful when I had covid related enquires. He organised transfers to and from the airport at a very good rate which made life much easier and meant there was no issue checking in or out. On arrival Ariana was there to welcome us and she is just the best! She spent a lot of time explaining all the good places to visit, how to get around etc etc. She kept in regular contact with us via WhatsApp and even brought me gifts on my birthday. They were both very very helpful, accommodating, understanding, friendly and nice. Sorry if I missed anything out but by now you should have made your decision to stay here. If I ever visit Dubrovnik again this will be the ONLY place I stay. It was 100% worth the price and pay extra for a full sea view - you will regret it if not. Thank you Raul and Ariana for making my birthday week one to remember.
