If you are looking for a quiet, affordable, and fun packed trip - this is the place. The house is located on a road, but you enter through the side road and go around back so it feels like you are secluded which is fantastic! The lake is a short walk away and you pass the geese, chickens, and other birds Tony has too. Tony was great and replied quickly to any questions I had. Very friendly and a great host! The house was clean, has what you need, hot-tub, pool table, and the kayaks on the private lake were a great feature! Saving this place for when I want to come back in the future!

We had such a great time. The house was really good and fit our needs well. The game area downstairs made for a nice separation between sleeping and playing. The bedrooms are of adequate size and had everything you might need….except clocks! The only clock in the house was on the stove. Having a clock on at least the two lower floors would be very helpful. Especially if you want to unplug from your devices! The kitchen was good size. Yes the kitchen has a lot of things - but if you intend to do a bunch of cooking, I definitely recommend bringing serving/mixing bowls. Otherwise if they don’t have it there - just go get it. The only downside was there was a leak in the roof where the chimney flashing and the roof met - and when it was not frozen, it leaked inside. Luckily it was frozen most of the time. The owner was very quick to diagnose it - but not a lot he could do to fix it on the spot. Like I said - it was ok for us - but I’d check with the owner when you show up to make sure it’s been fixed. The other thing that is very nitpicky - you think the house you are renting is on the lake. It’s not. It is near a creek. Not the lake. Not that big a deal this time - but I would be upset if I was really wanting the lake… Overall - I’d go back and stay there again. Tony is a great host. Very friendly, helpful, and accommodating.

Everything really was perfect for my 50TH birthday weekend. The description of the house and property was perfectly accurate. We found the house to be a comfortable & relaxing place to stay. We used the hotub, walked down to the lake and had a picnic lunch & made a nice fire in the firepit in the evening. I would highly recommend this rental.

We had a wonderful time in Paupack! We used the house as a base for a weekend of hiking in the general area. The foliage was beautiful in early October and the hot tub was a very welcome addition after some of our longer treks. Everything went smoothly and I would not hesitate to stay here again.

We rented this place for an extended weekend bachelor party. We had 7 guys and the place was more than enough for us Tony was great! He was available if we needed him, but primarily left us to ourselves. The lake on his property was a bit of a walk, as the other reviews indicated. But it was not the primary reason we rented this property. We made extensive use of the pool table and spent the majority of our time between the game room and back yard/fire pit Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a quiet stay in the mountains

We truly enjoyed our trip. There’s lots to do in the area, the kids enjoyed the hangout space downstairs and coffee on the deck every morning was my favorite. My mother in law loved the hot tub. Overall a little for everyone. We did not make it down to check out the lake on property unfortunately, but the owner stopped by and was very friendly.

This house was absolutely beautiful. We enjoyed the game room and how spacious the house was. My issue with the property was it was not clear of how rough the walk was to the lake. We specifically rented this place so everyone including my father would be able to enjoy the lake and boats. Unfortunately my father has bad knees and the terrain on the trail to the lake was far to rough and steep for him to be able to use. My mother and father were only able to walk it once in the week we stayed. If i was aware of this walk we would have rented a different location. So i would say if accessibility is an issue at all visiting the lake isnt a great option. Also the boats and kayaks are not just for this house, there are multiple houses on the propery that share the boats so there were times we were not able to use them. The property itself is not as secluded as the pictures make it seem as there are multiple houses around you and you are on a main road, but the backyard is very peaceful and beautiful.

The house sits on the road but you access the back via a gravel road. It’s quite a downhill hike to the pond on the property but worth the trek. We drove down because of bad weather and no one seemed to mind, everyone is very friendly. Pond area is Very picturesque with kayaks, row boat, fishing,.. nature! Worth mentioning- (Not handicap accessible) we are active and were out of breath going up and down the hill once, but good exercise! The property owner is wonderful, laid back and super accommodating.

Awesome proterty. Great get away cabin with lots of room. Highly recommended to stay Read the fine print. It is stream front(not lake) although it does say walk to lake. Pictures just slightly misleading. 100% would go back

My wife, myself, our 2 young adult children, and our "super senior" family beagle all had a great time. The house was just what we were looking for: Lots of room, plenty of space for games and indoor activities, a fire pit and a hot tub that we used frequently. The house was very clean and Tony is a wonderful host. Will definitely stay there again for any future trips to the area.

The house was absolutely beautiful and met the needs of my friends and I. The scenery was amazing and definitely a good place to stay at when you want to travel to the Poconos in the summer time! The house was clean when we arrived, the property manager was really nice, and the hot tub, fire pit, and pool table made our trip even more enjoyable. My only grips were that some of the beds were not as comfortable (so I suggest bringing a mattress pad) and one of the bedroom doors would occasionally get stuck. But other than that, I really enjoyed my time there and would 10/10 recommend this place to anyone who is thinking about traveling up here!

This house/property gave us everything we wanted and needed. Our group was myself, my husband, 2 kids, 2 grandparents, and 2 dogs, and we were all so very comfortable and happy, we didn’t want to leave. The house looks small from the road, but it is definitely not small! There are so many rooms and areas to hang out. The firepit, bar, pool table, hot tub, and smart TVs all got a lot of use. The kitchen had what we needed. Beds were comfortable. The top floor has a queen bed and 2 twin beds which was perfect and cozy for me and my husband and the kids. 2 more bedrooms on the main level, and a full bathroom on each of the 3 floors! The owner Tony visited us while we were hanging outside on our first evening there, and took us on a tour to show us around the property. He gave us a ride down to the lake. He made us feel very welcome, made us laugh, and helped us with everything we needed. At the lake, we caught some fish and used the kayaks, paddle boat, and rowboat. The kids were excited to see beavers, frogs, and Tony’s ducks and chickens. Our 2 dogs had the best time, running around, playing ball, and swimming. We definitely plan on visiting again in the future. Thanks again Tony!!

Tony was an amazing host from booking through checkout. His house had it all from relaxation to competitive games. The teenagers in our group loved the hot tub while the adults enjoyed the lower level bar and game room. Looking forward to our next trip!

The house has a great cabin feel, with an awesome hot tub and basement with a full size pool table. Beds were comfortable and clean. Tony is super responsive when calling. Fire wood was provided. Just a really enjoyable stay overall. And it doesnt hurt that the area has a few great breweries and winery not to far off either. We went in the winter, but I bet this place is even better for the summer because this is a lake town. Would come back for sure.
