Hotel Palacio de Merás

A historic building with character that has been beautifully restored. A nice restaurant with pilgrims menu and adjacent bar in the centre of town.

No parking, but there’s a nearby municipal car park under the supermarket with low fees.

Hotel is at the bottom of the hill. Staff were amazing. We had a problem in our room and we were able to change rooms with no problems. My husband was hurt and the staff again was very helpful. Our room was large and very comfortable. The bathroom had a tub which is a huge bonus when you've just walked 25km! We did not have the evening meal as it was too late for us(8pm). We did opt for the continental breakfast for 6 Euros as opposed to the buffet and we thought it was very good value. There is a huge grocery store 5 minutes walk away and a laundromat 2 minutes walk. We also recommend the bakery right in front of the hotel.

We loved having a tub, but it was very slippery.

Incredible food at dinner (ate of the a la carte menu). Rooms were large and comfortable and clean. Nothing to not like about the place

Rooms are ok The service is terrible for what you are paying for the room and also at the restaurant.

Had to wait three hours after check in because room wasn’t ready. Not even towels to at least take a shower after a long walk.
