It is a nice place, it is just a little unwelcoming and needs renovation. Things are looking a little tired.
We arrived at 4pm and the place was freezing. Other guests arrived shortly after us and it was unacceptable that the internal area was not warm.

Very cute beautiful old home, comfortable, clean, warm friendly environment. Lovely owner. Close to shops, cafes, restaurants, bars etc. Within walking distance. Pretty gardens Fabulous breakfast. Would definitely recommend this for a weekend stay . 😊😁😍🥰😘
One small bedroom, but we were told, so no issue.

location, feels intimate. Breakfast was excellent
bathroom in the Shang Hal room very cold. No fire on on the lounge room

Breakfast was wonderful, the dining room and the outlook was pleasant. The lady that served us was lovely and friendly and made sure we were well looked after. The 2 brownies left in room was also a lovely touch.
When we arrived the room was freezing and the heating they provided was useless unless you virtually were sitting on it. The room was very tiny, one chair, nowhere to put toiletries etc. Later we found out that for a mere $10 extra we could have had a much larger room. I can't believe our tiny room was $300. We have travelled many times and $300 is usually a luxurious suite not a pokey little room. We were quite disappointed for a place that advertises as a boutique motel.

Quiet location not far from shops and restaurants. Olde world charm. Friendly, helpful staff. Lovely fresh cooked breakfast.
Room more compact than expected. Freezing cold with no heating available (Lisa apologised). Large bath wasn’t clean enough to use, and no bath salts available.

being in room 4, we could hear everyone arriving and leaving. didn’t really bother us, but could imagine someone complaining

The most incredibly comfortable bed! In a great location. Lisa was welcoming and very nice and helpful. Breakfast, cooked by Lisa was delicious. Highly recommended.
The room was a little small, not much room between bed and walls for disabled person.

size of the rooms, exterior of house, fresh orange juice, coffee and hot breakfast.
needs a refresh of carpet and paint and lighter interiors as it’s dark and solemn inside. gardens need work looking tired and unkempt. could sub in some sourdough bread and fruit instead of the muffins as healthier for us all.. also would be nice to be greeted during check in hour.

Breakfast was lovely in a gorgeous sunroom
The room needed a little updating, it was quite old fashioned and plain. There was a skylight thing that made it quite light overnight

A lovely historic property in a quiet location. Nice cooked breakfast but no juice or fruit and yoghurt.
Although we stayed in the middle of December the weather was quite cool. The room was very cold and uncomfortable with no heating available.

A lovely venue that was clean, tidy and warm.
The rooms were great and it included a wonderful breakfast.

Breakfast was excellent, wide choice and well prepared. Coffee was French press only, but very nice roast. The room was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was luxurious. The bed was at least king sized and particularly comfortable. Everything was impeccably clean. Great location, close to the centre of town but far enough off the main street to be really quiet.
Not much to comment on here. Would have been nice to have had the fire on in the sitting room and a couple of extra coat hangers in the wardrobe. Otherwise, a really great place to stay for a long weekend in the Southern Highlands.

Suzanne, the owner, was very welcoming. A lovely added touch was having home made brownies waiting for us in our room! Bed was very spacious and comfortable. The room itself was very spacious as was the bathroom. Wonderful to wake up to the bird sounds. Breakfast was delicious and the breakfast room was so cosy and warm. Would definitely stay here again!
The only suggestion I would make would be to have a few towel railings and perhaps a few more hooks in the bathroom.

Accomodation
The nunnery was a disappointment. Arrived at 3pm as the staff informed me that there would be no early check in or out. Highly doubt the room is book for a Tuesday.
When I arrived I was informed there was an extra $5 credit card fee. Mind you my partner did not join me so it was just myself they had to accomodate. Breakfast for 1 etc.
I was then given a tour and when I got to the lounge where I was excited to sit by the fire 🔥 I was informed the fireplace doesn’t work. Really the Only reason I booked. Ok onto the the room, as we walk there she tells me it is the smallest room. What! For $255 I thought it would be the biggest. Anyway got sorted in the room that had no windows to the outside world! One window looked directly into the dining area and the other into another person’s courtyard.
I sat down on the bed to read, no chairs in the room and I began to get very cold. I looked around for a heater but there wasn’t any, I thought to myself it is going to be a long cold night.
Breakfast was good.

Amazing service. Very personal. Suzanne was wonderful and accomodating to vegan breakfast options.

Suzanne bent over backwards to ensure our stay was wonderful. There were so many little extras e.g. the brownies in the room as we arrived, freshly backed muffins at breakfast and many other things. The breakfast was exceptional - fresh, tasty and plenty of it. Everything was presented with such style and class. Thank you Suzanne.

Breakfast was amazing home cooked and very tasty. Also very clean.Rooms we're very cosy and neat and tidy. We also had a car park so that was a bonus in its self. Suzanne was lovely, very friendly and easy to talk to

The breakfast was excellent, the quality of food was good and there was a good selection to choose from. The host was there to greet us, even though we were a few minutes early. The home made brownies in the room were delicious. The property was nice and quiet and the gardens are very pretty.
The carpet in the bedroom was quite worn and marked, the toilet roll holder was loose and the tray in the bedroom was sticky so that if you put a hot drink on it, it stuck which resulted in spillage. Also there were cobwebs on the ceiling above the bed. The bed was also quite firm and not very comfortable, although it was very large.
