We arrived at Il Limone de San Pietro and our host Paolo let us in, he was waiting for us in the house. The house is at an excellent location next to the Vatican and it's musea and next to the tunnel which leads directly the the city at walking distance. If you like walking 😁. Plenty reasonable to good restaurants in the near surroundings. Specially "I Quattro Mori". The little garden is a very nice place to sit in the shade of the lemon tree.

It is in a great location three buildings beyond the Vatican. You can reach the Vatican square in 2 minutes by walking. Paolo is a great host. Very caring and helpful. There are two large double beds in the house. There is also a sofa that can be a double bed in the living room. It has quite large and new looking furniture. The backyard is incredibly beautiful. It tastes great to have a drink and chat in the cool air on summer evenings. Actually, we came to Rome to visit, but staying at home was also nice.

The location is excellent. It is about a 5-10 minute walk from Saint Peters and with lots of restaurants and convenience-type shops close by. The apartment is old and charming, with nicely decorated and large rooms, which are appointed nicely. Lamps, plugs, storage in all the right places. The important things, such as the bath and kitchen are very modern. For the 3 of us that were traveling together (a mother/grandmother, a daughter and a grandson), it was perfect. It could certainly accommodate more. Our host was charming, attentive and eager to take care of us.

Until the restaurant closes below the apartment, it is a little noisy. But after walking all over Rome all day, it really didn't bother me much and once it closes, it is fine, so not really a problem. Shower is tiny, but works great.

The best part of this location was the owner! Paolo was incredible to us. We arrived in Rome but our luggage did not! We spent a great deal of time on the phone trying to locate our bags and have them delivered. Paolo joined in on our efforts to get our bags! The apartment is in the PERFECT location. We were able to easily walk or take the bus to all of the locations we wanted to visit. The area felt very safe and the bonus was a restaurant downstairs. The food was good but the employees were outstanding! There was one server (don't remember her name) who helped make our stay perfect. To be in the center of activity for the price was amazing! Paolo also came over shortly after we arrived to us negotiate the parking. I would suggest if you arrive with a car-park it and don't move it during your stay! You really don't need a car for this location but we were traveling around multiple locations in Italy.

This complaint is a "me" complaint-the beds in Italy seem to all be firm! I prefer soft and squishy! This was our first stop and every stop after was exactly the same.

The location was so convenient for getting around Rome. We were close to bus stops, the metro and train station. There were numerous restaurants and two grocery stores close to the property. Great, very charming!

At times it could be noisy at night but not that bad. We knew this could happen because we were in a busy part of Rome, very near the Vatican. We stayed for an entire month and I started to think of it as home.

The apartment is like a home from home. Two bedrooms, Lounge, Hallway, bathroom, Kitchen and covered garden sitting area were all clean and inviting. The entrance has two doors, one outside, and one internal with thoughtfully colour coded keys to help select the right one. I have stayed in many B&B places in Rome over the years but never one where the entrance is kept immaculately clean and fresh smelling! The apartment is really well appointed and wants for nothing of your stay. Paolo is an attentive host and even provided a lovely bottle of 'Chianti Reserva' for our short visit. The apartment is literally five minutes from St. Peter's Basilica with plenty of cafes and restaurants locally.

This is a really well thought out apartment. The only thing that did not work was the television (which we only tried out of interest as we were out most of the time) which showed that it was tuned into a handful of Italian TV stations but none of them worked!! If we had children with us then this might have been more of an issue? An easy resolution would be an HDMI to USB adaptor on the television which would allow guests to use their phone or notepad to play videos etc.

First of all, Paolo as super host is an understatement. Paolo made us feel so welcome and was really helpful. The description and pictures of the apt was accurate and gave a correct expectation. It was spacious,clean and close to many attractions. The bus was close and went to Trevi and many other places to visit.

The host is a real gentleman. He left gifts for us in the apartment. Was there on time to hand us the keys and even helped us find a taxi. He kept in touch with us in all our stay to see if we needed anything else. The outdoor area was really a relaxing corner away from the hassle and bustle of the city.

There was only one shower and one toilet. If the appliances were more modern I guess they would be more energy efficient. And an air condition in the kitchen/ dining area is a must.

Il Limone is a beautiful apartment, the courtyard is amazing. Excellent location, there are some lovely restaurants there and a little supermarket across the road. Paolo the host is so friendly and thoughtful (left us a lovely bottle of wine). Would highly recommend staying here.

For two of four nights the restaurant noise could be heard in the bedrooms until around midnight

Amazing location. Outstanding host (even a bottle of wine in fridge for us). Light, airy rooms and St Peter's Square a stones throw. Loved the outside sitting area - just a little oasis.

That I had booked for longer!

This place is just a jewel and only 200 meters from St Peters Square. Paolo gave us a warm welcome. There were fresh flowers on the table and a cold bottle of wine in the fridge. The apartment is spacious and very nicely furnished. Two big bedrooms, a specious living-room, a big kitchen with all the equipment that you can think of. A big bathroom with washing machine. The apartment is very quiet and we absolutely loved the courtyard under the lemon-tree which we used every day. Paolo is a great host who gave some great restaurant recommendations and assisted us with getting a taxi. It is only a 15 minute walk to Trastevere and 15 minutes to Navona. We would definitely stay here again and we would recommend this to all our friends and family.

The property is very clean and airy and very secure. Paolo met us at the property and showed us everything. He was extremely helpful and also was happy to assist me with a couple of queries during our ten day stay. It is well situated for St Peter’s square and only a short walk to Trastevere, Rome centre is another 10 minutes away, but ample public transport is available. The rooms all have air con and shutters to keep the building cool during the day. The other major bonus was there is a delightful, little private courtyard at the rear of the property, which we used constantly throughout our stay. I would recommend this property to anyone and will definitely be returning.

The place is an authentic Roman apartment, decorated with great taste, up to the smallest detail. It has beautiful paintings on the walls, even bookshelves with art books on Rome's history and attractions. The patio is splendid. The place is so clean and fresh, you could hardly tell it is rented to tourists. Kitchen had everything we needed, we could cook, as if we were at home. The place looks more beautiful than in the photos and it is very comfortable. You can see the top of the Vatican building, from the patio. The apartment had everything we needed. It was more than we expected, from all points of view! Bus stop in 3 minutes walk, Vatican at 300m. And Paolo was too kind and thoughtful. Thank you, Paolo, we had a great stay! We will come back!

Great appartment and a wonderful host Highly recommended

Not only the location of the appartment is perfect. The accomodation is cosy, modern, you have everything you need. There are several restaurants in the street. Paolo is a very welcoming and caring person, when he saw we had teenage kids, he suggested to prepare separate rooms for them! He provided us with every information we needed, caringly writing messages if everything goes well.

Due to cold weather we didn't have the possibility to use the nice pathio with lemon tree. It really is a part of the appartment, totaly private!!

We loved the appartment , very spacious with everything needed to cook , the patio outside is very nice and quiet . The place was 5 mn walking to the st Peter plaza , very convenient. There are restaurants, bakery and supermarkets nearby . the owner Paolo welcomed us warmly and stayed in contact with us during our stay to make sure everything went well. thanks Paolo !

Wonderful location and very accommodating host. We were late checking in and got a bit turned around finding our way in the dark, but our host’s agent was very gracious even though he had every right to be upset at us due to our lack of communication and late hour. We had a very busy schedule so we weren’t able to take advantage of their garden facilities, but it was quite beautiful.

It is a large apartment which poses a challenge to keep everything dusted and swept.
