apartment was very clean, quiet street, but very close to town and railroad station

Friendly host - She is very supportive and helps with all details. You feel at home. Excellent location - Coop close by to buy groceries. Spacious rooms - Very big bedroom with cupboards. Well equipped kitchen - You have everything you need from pans to glass.

Due to renovation i was not able to get the room with the view but i knew it before going there so its not a remark.In booking.com all the rooms is displayed as moutain view but overall the location is surrounded by nature so you can walk to the road or side to see the view. If you want a view from your room then request for the room on the first floor.

Fantastic apartment in an excellent location. The description "Mountain View" met and exceeded every expectation and we could see two Mountains from the apartment. Facilities were great and even included a Fondue set so we could have our own traddiitonal Swiss Fondue night.

A great location close to the transportation, cozy and warm. Well shocked kitchen. Wonderful host. Plenty of room for relaxing. The wood stove gave it a real alpine feel, add some cheese and a snow storm. And you have a perfect place to be for the snow.

Could use new beds.

Amazing location in a historic Chalet from 1894. The property is properly old, and is a heritage site, which means it comes with the (numerous) pros and (limited) cons of such a site in Switzerland. You are going to be in a unique, amazing property, with beautiful views in an amazing location, with decades (centuries, actually) of history; however, you also have some sounds etc coming through floors etc. You just have to be slightly congiscent of this, and be courteous to your neighbours (the owners live on the top floor, and the bottom floor is another apartment for rent). There are also 2 working fireplaces, which really add an awesome ambiance. The internet is really good - I used it to WFH for 1 - 2 days with no issues on large zoom / teams calls etc. Overall, an amazing property, worth staying at, and Christiane is a gracious host. Would stay here again in a heartbeat when coming back to Grindelwald.

This house have more than 120 years old. In other words I stayed in a history place. This is not a fancy hotel this is a house and that's the thing that I like most because I get the experience to stay in a house of this type, and also you will have an expectacular view of the mountains. And it's really closed to the mini downtown in Grindelwald. Also close to the train station to go to first flyer and Mount Pilatus. The host (sorry I dont remember her name) it was a really kind and lovely person. Definitely if I come back to Switzerland I will stay in this house.

Everything is so great!!Booking the apartment from Christiane was one of our best decisions we ever made in this trip! Super close to train station and commercial area. roomy living room and 2 bedrooms are much bigger and better than we thought. Balcony is the favorite with great view. Christiane is so nice and super helpful! We’ll definitely stay here again next time come to Grindelwald!:)

It is a super comfortable and nice place to stay :) The house is large and clean, there is everything you need for a stay. The house is located in the center, so it is easy to get everywhere. Christiane is very nice and pleasant person. She advised us where to eat and what to see, thank you a lot :) It was a pleasure to stay here. We have spent here only 2 nights and would like to come back again :)

The apartment was spacious and comfortable with great views and well equipped kitchen and terrace. Christian, the lady of the house was welcoming and friendly.

It's an old chalet and very creeky with no soundproofing. Despite that, noise is clearly an issue for the man of the house. I'd suggest he either doesn't let to families with children or fixes the wonky floors, perhaps adding some sound proofing. Or just learns to live with it.. On Saturday night around 2230 the owners husband appeared on the back terrace annoyed at the noise we made "walking around". He seemed pretty angry. This was despite the fact that we could hear his TV surround sound and him going to the toilet at 0230. Which woke us up. He was also banging on their ceiling telling them to stop talking. They'd been mostly on their phones and imo weren't being loud or moving much. This was a great shame as it was the last night of an otherwise good stay and having to subsequently tip toe around a very creeky floor worried he'd reappear at the back door somewhat spoiled things. I've marked down the comfort and staff largely due to this.

The location is perfect for summer hiking. The apartmnet desciption and pictures are very accurate. Friendly host, space enough for 2.

As can be seen from the pictures, the equipment and furniture of the apartmnet is rather old but more or less functional.
