Our room was actually a bit bigger than we were expecting as we stayed here for our first few nights in Japan. The staff were so friendly and overall was really great. Quite close to the Shinjuku station too and was around a lot of things
The only reason some people may not like this property is the location. It is in the red light district, so it may not be appropriate for those travelling with kids

I really loved that we were able to experience tatami floored rooms. Seemed quite rare as we stayed in 4 other hotels in Japan. While it was a bit moldy kinda maybe in some spots it seemed clean and comfortable. The foldable beds were comfortable and clean.
Slightly dirty but not unsafe. A little loud at night with party people walking home and thin windows. But cool it was able to open and look out to the street.

I liked the location of it in Shinjuku, but the specific location in Shinjuku looks a little sketchy. I also loved the staff, they were very nice and accommodating.
The location in Shinjuku was a little sketchy looking, and there were a few mysterious stains in the room. Also, the bathroom had a perpetual odd smell.
