Mwezi Boutique Resort

Loved every minute of our stay here. The pools , accommodation and staff were fantastic.

I’m only saying this ,not as a negative comment ,The only thing that could have made anything better would be a fridge in the room maybe ?

As soon as we arrived at Mwezi, we were instantly given a warm welcome. The place gave a nice relaxed rustic vibe, food was nice, and drinks well made. We didn’t eat much there as we like to explore and try more authentic local dishes. Every Wednesday they provide Swahili food and entertainment, food was buffet style and was really tastey and opportunity to get involved in some dancing and activities. Room was cleaned everyday, and evenings rooms were mosquito proof with spray and netting. Everyone was so lovely and great to talk to. We booked an excursion to have seafood dinner on sandbank and swim with dolphins online but cancelled last minute and booked with the hotel. Best thing we done as the day was amazing and worked out cheaper for a private experience, picked up, fed and really looked after. 100 recommend booking via the hotel. Hotel has some fury friends like cats, and monkeys, which are lovely to watch as they swing through the palm trees and have little babies. Cause no bother. Mo who works at the bar by the pool makes the best cocktails and is great to talk to, and Jaqueline was such a beautiful soul who really made our stay special with her warm smiles every morning and conversations and making sure we were looked after. Front desk staff were equally great to speak to and really helpful, as much as this was a great base, get out and about and explore the local area to see the amazing art work in the towns and local home restaurants. Without any requests they decorated the bed for birthday which was super cute.

To be honest, I don’t even know where to start. The Mwezi Resort was simply amazing for me and my family! A well-deserved 4-star rating for this beautiful estate. The people here are incredibly friendly and were always ready to help – and that really goes for everywhere: at the reception, during breakfast, in the restaurant, at the pool bar and the whole security team. Hats off to you all! 👌 We’d especially like to give our Swahili teacher a big hug. Throughout our stay, he kept trying to teach us the language. Our daughter Laura, of course, got top marks. 😉 The boutique hotel is furnished with great attention to detail. The rooms were spacious, cosy and the beds were perfect. We were able to experience this for ourselves in two different bungalows – one of which even had a private pool and a stunning view of the Indian Ocean. 🌊 A special shout-out goes to the creative designer! 👌 Great cocktails, a very tasty dinner and a delicious breakfast every morning – that’s the life. 😋 We do have one small suggestion for improvement, though: please swap the salt and pepper shakers for small salt and pepper mills, to make the salt come out better👍 We’re left with wonderful memories of this special place and of the whole island, with all its variety. We’d definitely come back! I’m listening to the Afrobeat music that was played at your pool bar right now, and I miss that time very much. The experiences and adventures we had with you help us, here far away from Jambiani, to approach everyday life a little more relaxed, with a touch of ‘Usijali’ and ‘Pole Pole’. Until we meet again!
