Ashton Court Hotel

The location of the hotel was spot on as our visit was a “boys weekend fishing” trip for myself and a friend. The tea and coffee making facilities in the room were plentiful and more than enough for one person for a two day vacation. The staff and breakfasts were flawless, the reception and waiting staff exemplary, pleasant and very courteous and the food very tasty and fresh.

The room (110) was very dated and the decor needed a lot of TLC. The residual steam coming from the bathroom after showering, even having had the door closed and the extractor on (the switch incidentally could have been better pointed out) made its way into the main room resulting in noticeable condensation on the windows and the mirror and making everything feel damp. The only option was to open a window to let some airflow in which would be counterintuitive on a wet day. These observations are not me being one of those being picky for the sake of being picky people and are not intended to be negatives but would make a difference if addressed.

Welcoming hotel with fabulous sea views in excellent location with easy stroll to the fabulous beach. Staff were delightful helpful and friendly. Delicious full English breakfast served efficiently in great space. Very comfortable beds and room had sea views. Looking forward to going back to stay!

Lift wasn’t working

TV in rooms ,very small .

Die Lage war für mich sehr gut. Und die Aussicht herrlich. Das Personal sehr freundlich und bemüht. Der Rest war geradeso okay. Die Zimmergröße okay (klein). Das Bad okay (Schimmel in der Dusche). Die Einrichtung okay (sehr abgenutztes Mobiliar). Das Frühstück okay. Für eine Nacht okay. Dafür auch der Preis okay.

Mein Tisch beim Frühstück war ganz klebrig. Bevor es lediglich Dosenobst (Kirschen im Saft, die zweite Sorte konnte ich nicht einordnen) beim Frühstück zum Müsli gibt, würde ich eher ganz darauf verzichten.
