Excellent place to drive in and stay! We parked the car in the gated lot and forgot all about it as we walked the streets of Philly. So conveniently located and within walking distance of everything we wanted. Very clean and gracious host.

Isolde was a welcoming host, and we are glad we stayed at her townhome! It was very nice having our own floor with a comfortable room, bathroom, and rooftop deck. The location was unbeatable and in a beautiful residential area of downtown Philadelphia. We hope to be back soon!

The space was beautiful and exactly how the listing described. Isolde was communicable and helpful. Highly recommend. You also can't beat the location and private parking.

Location was very good for what we wanted to do

Firstly, the reviews of this property were what prompted me to book it. I’d never stayed with a host but the reviews on Isolde’s hospitality and the feel of a European bed and breakfast in downtown Philly convinced me. The photos alone reveal her European influences and I must admit, I felt as though I were in Provence and Bavaria throughout my stay. You have the entire third floor with a private bathroom and rooftop terrace. Perfect for morning coffee or late night meals. You’re also welcome to use common areas like the kitchen and dining room. Isolde is a lovely, welcoming person and she allows guests to have as much or as little interaction as they prefer. Of course, we loved getting to know her and shared meals and chats in the garden. We couldn’t have been happier with our stay. A few things to note that are distinctly European and may come as a surprise if you expect traditional American lodging: the TV and bed are not large (not king size). We did not mind this, and since we were there to explore, spent most of our days blocks away in the historic district. Everything imaginable is within walking distance, including landmarks, markets, restaurants, museums, and parks. We’d return again just to enjoy Isolde’s lovely home and company!

My friend and I stayed here for a few nights to attend some concerts at Lincoln Financial Field, and it was a great location! The subway was easy to navigate and the area felt safe at night. Isolde was very kind, and answered our questions regarding public transportation, and helped us park our car in the parking spot by the building. The room is up multiple flights of stairs, but it was lovely and had it’s own bathroom as well as access to a beautiful patio/balcony. I would definitely recommend staying here!

We had a wonderful stay. This place is a short walk to Independence Hall, the waterfront, magic gardens, and old city. The home is very clean and well decorated. You feel as if you walked into a European home. The host is very gracious. I would definitely stay here again.

We had such a great visit in 2021, we didn't hesitate to seek out this rental again. It is so well-situated in the historic district, we just park the car in the provided, locked parking lot and comfortably walk everywhere. The room is very comfortable, good-sized bathroom, and a gorgeous view from the balcony overlooking the walled back gardens. Isolde is a wonderful host and has been so mindful of food allergies and our crazy schedule. We love visiting and chatting with her, and will definitely stay again.

Isolde was gracious and the location could not have been better!

Quaint 3rd floor room with private bathroom and patio to relax. The rooms were tastefully decorated and the host was more than accommodating for all of our needs. The house was in a quiet neighborhood with private off street parking. Shops and restaurants were a few blocks away and historic Old City Philadephia was a 15 minute walk to all the museums and shops.

These accommodations in a charming private 3-story home centrally located in Society Hill could not have been more perfect as a home base for a weekend exploring Philadelphia and retreat at the end of each day. We were able to leave our car in her private locked lot and walked everywhere - we didn't use the car again until we left to return home. There are wonderful restaurants within blocks and the streets are filled with history. The bedroom, bath and balcony all on the top floor were all tastefully decorated with art and plants and were very private and comfortable. There were many thoughtful touches including water carafes and chocolates, and lots of extra pillows and blankets. Each morning, at a time we requested, the host Isolde made us a wonderful breakfast to order, all delicious. Perhaps the best feature of this rental is the host herself who lives in the home's lower floors. She was at once attentive to our needs, considerate of our privacy and a delightful and knowledgeable conversationalist. We so enjoyed meeting her and chatting with her over breakfast each morning. Should we return to Philadelphia in the future, we would hope to once again stay at this location.
