It was absolutely perfect. Such a special experience! So basic, and yet everything you need is there. The beds were very good. You can sit outside in the treehouse, but also inside if you wish. The kitchen/bathroom was right outside the treehouse. We thought the toilet would be without flushing, but it was a flushing toilet now. Yes there are a few spiders in the house (ofcourse, you are in a tree!) but: no mosquitos! The owners were superkind and made a delicious breakfast for us. Even the little things, like a game and different types of tea were there. If we ever go to Denmark again, this is where we want to stay!

The experience

The toilet was something to get used to. If it is not that important for you then go for it.

The breakfast was fine with milk oats pankakes some syrup and no fresh fruit. It is in the middle of nowhere in someone’s back yard.

There were someone elses tissues in our room when we got there. The toilet doesn’t flush and the bathroom is unsanitary. The shower is very cold and the water pressure is quite weak. Shampoo is not provided. One has to pay extra for sheets and the host is unfriendly. There is a highway nearby which kept us up at night. One has to share the tree house with two other families so we had little privacy and it was mot the nature experience we hoped for. We had to check out at 10 but the owner wasn’t around at the time so it wouldn’t have been a problem if we would have stayed longer and then we could have slept in. Very bad and disappointing experience all in all.

It´s amazing how much effort and love for small details have been put to build this place. Children must have their adventurous dreams come true, it´s a very authentic and peaceful place, a lot of toys to play, cherries to eat... the owners are really lovely people who try to make you feel as comfortable as possible. Although the area might be not that touristy it´s so worth a visit!

Very clean, great scenic location (5 mins drive to Marielyst beach area), fantastic hospitality from the owners, large backyard with additional elements (barbecue, bonfire, trampoline). We were served with tasty breakfast on our balcony with view over surrounding fields. A hidden gem worth experiencing as treehouse cabins are really authentic,

It does not have a lot to do with the property however there were many spiders in our cabin which can be challenging for those afraid of them. You can hardly escape insects, it’s all very natural 😜.
