Walked into overwhelmed mild/mildew odor opening cottage and the door. Obviously cottage has a water damage problems The floor is so unlevel it is difficult to walk.Stayed in cottage 5minutes and both of us had asthma attacks and had to go to car and use inhalers. We texted Vacasa the property managers and never got return text/phone call. Had to find reservations somewhere else since there was no way could stay in cottage. Tried to get refund for stay BUT declined to repay saying didn’t contact them, but have text that I sent immediately detailing problems and fact not staying in cottage. Description of property says need 4 wheel drive vehicle in winter,that is not accurate. You need 4 wheel drive to get out of driveway at all times. Very dangerous driveway very very steep and can’t see oncoming traffic on the road pulling onto. You just have to gun the car and hope to God no one is on the road!

The location is great and the updated kitchen is nice

When we arrived we paid a large cleaning fee however the house was not clean. There was food found under beds, a gaming control under the couch, the bathrooms were clean but not spotless. Most irritating is no batteries in the remotes and though you pay a fee you have to remove your own trash!! The fireplace caused so much smoke we had to open all the windows and the home itself is very dated other than the kitchen. Definitely not worth what we paid. And a cleaning fee that large we expected much more.

Not cleaned. Get cleaning fee back. Appreciate this. Fill humidity inside. Very hard to park and get out. I’ve got Toyota Prius and always touch asphalt.

Hot with no AC and no warning that one is not provided ( although pictures show one). There is a musty odor because there is no circulation of air. We tried running a fan which helps a little but it was minimal since there is 1 for the whole house. Bedding is old, mattresses are horrible. If you have back problems be ware. Walls are super thin and creeks of beds from other rooms are very audible. Grill is below deck and not easy to run up and down the stairs ( I do understand this is secondary to fire hazard). No where to put trash in to at curbside as there is no garbage can in there. Constantly had to drive trash to dumpster but it’s only open 5 days a week. There is a trash storage outside the front door.
